Unfortunately, it appears we are all having the same problems with our mortgage/lender. Coincidence, I think not.

We refinanced in April through a Broker, known as Residential Loan Centers of America (RLCA) in Illinois. At the time we were on the brink of bankruptcy and I innocently thought this was a way out for us. As it turns out, RLCA also sold the mortgage of two other people that I know of, who refinanced through them to Homecomings Financial. I tend to do further investigation regarding both Homecomings, as well as RLCA because my intuition is telling me that RLCA may be receiving a kick back of foreclosures through Homecomings Financial.

With all these complaints against Homecomings, I believe legal action is both necessary, as well as mandatory so they can be shut down and not prey on other families. Ironically, our mortgage also went up $150.00 a month in less than a year of doing business with them. Investigating this, it turns out this is known as "Predatory Lending", which is illegal. I too cannot get through to this company, but I'm sure the Attorney General will have no problem getting through to them once they shut them down. Does anyone else want to join in with me and help sue and close down Homecomings? If so, let me know at your earliest convenience.

Thank you...

How to get past voice mail at Homecomings

#2Consumer Suggestion

Mon, December 15, 2003

It's almost impossible to reach anyone once the situation has reached the stage your's is in. But I found a key last March that I'll share here. If you get sent into voice mail, press zero. It will take you to a very irate operator. Tell them you want to talk to Whoever, and they will send you back to voice mail. Press zero again. Irate operator will be even more irate, but you tell them you need to speak directly to that person. Irate Operator will then tell you they are on the phone or something - you tell Irate Operator you want to speak with Whoever's supervisor. This was *very* effective when we were battling our closing date with them. I eventually ended up all the way at the top of their collection/foreclosure food chain, and ticked off a lot of people along the way - but I got what I needed to close the mortgage with a new company. Best wishes.
