Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been reading all of the complaints against this company and decided to tell our story. Our mortgage was sold to Homcomings Financial in early 2001. To begin with we did not even know it was sold and was sending our payments to the previous Morgage Company. By the time we were notified we were already in default and they were threatning forecloser. We were charged numerous fees of which I can not even begin to explain. In early 2002 I became very sick and was hospitalized for some time and as result lost my job. We began being late with our payments and was trying desperatly to contact Homecomings and work out some kind of plan. We left so many messages I can not even count. Never got any response until again a letter of forecloser came in the mail. We were forced to file chapter 13 and since then it has been even a bigger nightmare. We could never get any statements we had no coupons to send with our payment to assure they were getting posted correctly. I made several phone calls and sent several letters asking for statements and never got anything. The only thing I had to go by was watching for my check to clear the bank, which all of them did every month. Well much to my surprise we have received another letter Sept 21st telling us we owed $4000.00 or they would foreclose. They said we owed from May thru Sept 2004. All my checks have cleared my bank and I have all of them. Well when I requested a transaction history. (which is so messed up no one can make heads or tails out of it) but apparently they did an audit of our account and said we owed payments from 2002 and early 2003. They applied our payments to what they said we owed back in those years and are trying to force relief from stay and foreclose on our home. I am having to go all the way back to 2002 to prove we made the payments. I don't know where to turn and this has made a nervous wreak of me and my husband. I am so tired of trying to deal with them and the incompetent staff. Its crazy... I want in on any class action suit and would like any help or response I can get. Thank you.
