On 6/22/13 I was looking into booking a hotel, for 2 days in the Dallas area . I had several windows up on my laptop comparing diffrent rates from 4 diffrent websites. My girlfriend and her toddler daughter were visiting me on this day. We stepped out of the room for a couples minutes. When I returned to my room I walked in to find. My friends daughter hitting and banging my keyboard. A minute later I'm getting a conformation of a hotel booking thru hotwire. I had a hotwire window open on my laptop along with 3 other websites. I contacted hotwire.com immediatley. I told them the booking was a mistake.

First of all the hotel that was booked. Was a hotel that I stayed at months prior to this booking. It wasn't a good stay at all, infact the managment made me feel so unwelcome due to my service animal, that had been traveling with me. So you see I would have never booked that Hotel again. (Holliday INN express) aside from not feeling welcome, the charge $100 for incidentials, which by the way it took 3 weeks to get my money returned to my amex card. I was very upset and hotwire customer service reps knew this.

They said no refund. Sorry...I called the hotel directley and explained to them the problem. They directed me back to hotwire. I called hotwire back and explained t o them that I had a bad experience at that hotel and that I didn't have the money to cover $ 100 in incideitails. They rep told me to barrow the money from a friend , because they weren't giving me any refund. I then called my credit card company Amex prepaid card. I had them to due a reversal and they told me no. So no help from hotwire, Holliday Inn Express, or amex card company.

I never checked into hotel. And I didn't have any other money that weekend. I had to sleep in my car. In texas in 100 degree weather. Because Hotwire wouldn't refund my money, and Holliday inn would permit me to check in without $ 100 for incideitals. and amex would take care of me their customer. I will NEVER use hotwires services again. Nor will I stay at any Holliday Inn and It's other property's. I have cut up my amex card.

Again you are NOT asked for your CC information until you are ready to book.  So if you entered in the CC information then what is the problem...you must have been planning on booking the hotel.  Just be glad that your girlfriends daughter didn't press any other keys or you may have had 4 rooms.  Or did you just "forget" to put your CC information in those windows.

By the way just about every hotel REQUIRES a deposit to hold for any possible incidentals.  You are lucky that they were willing to take a debit card because most hotels require a REAL credit card.

Oh and by the way..if you are going to call me names.  Please look at my name, and at least have the courtesy to get it right.  I am MR Know-It-All.

Miss know it all............I had entered my own cc info. I said I had 4 windows up. and was getting ready to book a hotel room. Learn to read stupid.

And for you information. I slept in my car because I didn't have ANY MONEY!!!! hotwire took it!  I loaded my amex with $120.00. That was ALL THE MONEY I HAD. So before you start judging people get your facts straight.

Well at least you didn't try to blame your service animal.

You do not need to enter in any credit card information until you are ready to book.  So not only was your friends daugther able to bang on the keyboard and hit the exact number of keys to book a room, she apparently was able to enter in your credit card number and billing information as well.

Here is some advice for you in the future.  If you are going to make up a story to try and cancel a non-cancelable reservation..at least come up with one a bit more believable.

Oh and seriously..that hotel was so bad you would instead sleep in your car in 100 degree weather.
