The House of Brides website could have potentially brought on a wedding disaster! I sent all of my bridesmaids the HOB link to their dresses designed my Alfred Angelo. My maid of honor ordered hers, paid for it, and then a couple of days latergot an EMAIL saying that the dress would not be there in time for the wedding and some links to different dresses. The email also didn't have an apology or a request to cancel the order. I had to personally call and cancel the order and request a refund, which by the way is going to take 30 days. I work in an accounting department and I know for a fact that NO refund takes 30 days no matter what bank! Thankfully, she can afford to order it elsewhere and my other bridesmaids did not order theirs yet. it gets better.

After doing my research, I found out that House of Brides does not even the brand anymore and is falsely advertising it. Basically they are taking money and not telling anyone until afterwards so they can hold your money for as long as possible. What a nice little treat to wedding planning. I thought companies that were in the wedding industry for supposed to make this process a little bit easier? Guess House of Brides did not get that memo.

 On the bright side of things, I did find a website that has provided me with some comfort. Dxxxxxxx.com .  (((REDACTED)))  I found the dresses I need and not only are they less expensive than House of Brides, I spoke with the owner personally and he is very sincere and encouraging that he will make this process as easy as possible. He also offered to contact me in the future as my girls order their dresses to give me a little relief. He directed me to his facebook page and his reviews are MUCH better thanHouse of Brides! What a breath of fresh air! I hope no one else has to deal with a situation like this. It could have been much worse!

  We apologize for the inconvenience. We are an authorized retailer of Alfred Angelo products. The dress as ordered was not available. Customer Service contacted your bridesmaid and offered comparable styles as an alternate option.
 
  It is our policy to offer customers alternate options if the merchandise as ordered is not available for the event. If the customer does not want to proceed with the order, we refund the purchase. Refunds can take up to 30 business days for processing. We state our refund policy on our website's Terms & Conditions, which is viewable prior to purchase. Customers must also click their understanding of and agreement to our Terms & Conditions to process a purchase.
