I to was a victim of Household Financial Services. My husband and I refinanced our house with this compnay and like others I have since read about the interest rate was larger than I was told in their office. My husband had lost his job of twenty five years due to consolidation of offices within the corporation that he worked for. We were  sending our son through school and trying to finish our house so we took out a signature loan with them and I still trusted them when they told me that it would be paid in five years time. I paid on this loan for five years and at the end  I still owed as much as I did the day I walked into their office and borrowed the money.

About this time the economy crashed and we lost all our savings and our home due to foreclosure with HFC. These people are relentless to pursueing you on the phone but try to contact them, Ha. I eventually gave up.

Now I am facing the company who apparently bought our account from them and wage garnishment. I am 60 years old and my husband is 66 years old and has a part time job and lives on social security. I am compiling a list of my bills for the court to see how much more money they are going to get from me.

HFC did have to pay us 3000.00 dollars for their wrong doing on our mortgage loan but the signature loan is another story. They get you in their office and lie to you then stick you forever.

How can another company buy debt from a company like this and turn it into profit for themselves. This is totally not right! By the way this company's name is NCEP,LLC as Successor in Interest to Household Finance Corporation of Alabama with Attorney for Plaintiff Nathan & Nathan, P.C. P.O. Box 1715 Birmingham,Alabama 35201

"I still trusted them when they told me that it would be paid in five years time"

Did the lender violate the terms of the written agreement? Did the lender add late payment penalties to the balance due?

"I paid on this loan for five years and at the end  I still owed as much as I did the day I walked into their office and borrowed the money."

You failed to provide vital details as to why the balance due is still the full amount of the loan. You admit to loan default on your home so is it possible you also defaulted on the signature loan?
