They took half of my monies too... I ended up with $4900.
My original settlement was to be for $11,215.00..
Go figure that is over half...
I think we should all get together even though there is only 4 of us.. something should be done or explained to us to where we understand this better.

That is what I wrote about, and for you make take a jab at my spelling of medicaid just shows how unprofessional you and HLN. and crew really are. That being said I have not heard a straghit answer out of anyone from your firm. Many people have stated that they have got in touch with medicaid and SSI and they state that what you are saying is false so I would like to know what your response is to them and myself and others on RIPOFF REPORT.? I signed documents saying that i was waiving the right to have a special trust set up for this and still you people keep my MY MONEY!! Also you say it just about the money and you are not thanked enough for what you have done for us and we are UNGRATEFUL ...BULL....!!!!!You people did this for me?? I think not,You and HLN did it for one reason...MONEY,MONEY,MONEY!!!I AM checking to see if I can sue your firm for FRAUD!!I am sure that the ATTY GENERAL and the Texas Bar ASSOC. will be interested to see all of the complaints that are here and who knows how many are not going public about this and trying to deal with you IDOTS alone...see you soon HLN.

This client is obviously upset but it is only because they can't understand the information they have been provided. First, the client takes issues with the legal fees. These of course were agreed to at the start of the case, and this person had the opportunity to review the proposed fees and then agreed to them. It is only after the firm has spent years working on the case, that the client decides it would be better to not the pay the lawyers.
Second, this client can't understand the process for establishing a Special Needs Trust. These trusts are used by some clients to protect government benefits that are need based, or dependant on your income level. For clients that want to protect their benefits, this is a great tool.
We resolved claims for more than four thousand clients, the vast majority of which appreciated the work we did for them and understood the complexity of resolving a case of this size. There is of course a small number of clients, like the author of this complaint, that would not have been happy regardless of how good a job we did for them.
