HPG Management illegal management, unsanitary, inoperative pool, laundry,no contact manager, manager doesn't live on property Canoga Park California
The apartment building at xx Kelvin Ave. Winnetka, CA. doesn't have a manager living in that building. I believe the law states that any apt. bldg. with 16 or more units is required to have a manager abiding on the property. Though there is a answering machine there, the manager is hardly ever in that apt. and seldom returns call.
The wash room has three washers and dryers but all 3 are never working at any given time. The wash room has operating hours but many times are not open during some of those hours. The swimming pool is not open and has been that way for several months. The gate is chained and locked. My sister's apt. has a leaking ceiling that has not been repaired after several complaints
I am writing this report for my sister because she is in the hospital right now and has been for about one week or so now. She was having a medical emergency and could not get to her front door to open it for paramedics. She gave the manager's phone number to 911 but no one answered the phone. The paramedics some how got thru the front gate but had to climb up to the kitchen window to gain access to my sister. This was around 6:00 am.
Thank goodness my sister is doing okay now, but this could have terrible consiquences for anyone in that building who might be in dire need of medical assistance!
I am really upset about these matters and not only should the people in those apts. be given some money back since they are not getting what they are paying for, but also for the dangerous situation of not having a manager on the grounds. I may be wrong, but I truly believe there are some legal issues here. I quess it doesn't matter that people who don't live there use the pool, because the pool has be shut down for a long time.
