Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

H&R Block Emerald Card After 12+ years of trusting this company with my money and 2 online FRAUD situations I am done. It took 4 calls to get the affidavit sent to me as the reps were sending it to the wrong email address. No attention to detail. Additionally, I write a stand alone statement and sent in lieu of the document requested, detailing that the transactions made were not authorized by me and clearly fraud since for example 3 were made within the same minute. My card was not lost or stolen, it has been on my person. However, I also can't be in California, LA and New York at the same time ordering Grubhub.

I'll spare you the details, but this company denied my Fraud claim and told me to wait 10 days to find out why via mail. What in the hell? I am at a new payroll cycle and it took you over 10 days to not even speak to me about the investigation, but to do a half as$ investigation and tell me via an automated system that my claim was denied and basically eat this 600 bucks that we allowed to be dripped from your account over 11 days.

This company has no customer focus and does not care about preventing fraud or fighting against it. This place scammed me out of my hard earned money and didn't fight for me at all. Rep communication and empathy was poor. There was no transparency, direct line of site to what was going on in their research, no follow through, no communication and no action. I am left with 812 different case numbers my money is in limbo/gone. They won't play with my time or money, 600 bucks in not a small amount of cash and I will go legal on them as a matter of principal. I jumped through all of their process hoops, waited for un-received calls, wrote statements of innocence and signed affidavits that were useless! Stay far away from this place, its just a hustle to scam you out of your money. Who knows it might of been an inside job.

I don't trust them with my funds, payroll or tax, they don't do good detailed logical research. Proceed with caution, they don't do good business. Lack of customer service. Allowed unauthorized Fraud and use of account. United States

Actually you were the one who posted on a PUBLIC web site, and I was trying to provide some advice. But instead you intentionally avoided just about every one of the questions that would have provided important details, again adding "fluff" that didn't matter..such as the amount of the charges.

Since you won't say why they denied it, we can only guess that it was for a valid reason. Some reasons it could be legitimatly declined include time, per FEDERAL law you only have 60 days to dispute a transaction, after that you are then considered responsible. Now, that doesn't mean that a bank can't accept the dispute after that time, but there is no law that says they have to and this will rarely happen. It could also be denied if they felt you could have stopped the fraud. So if you did something like see the fraud but allowed it to continue you may be held responsible. You could also be held responsible if for some reason you requested that they do not cancel the card, and then have more charges occur.

By the way if $600 is truly only a drip for you, why are you with one of these "Pre-Paid" cards and not a REAL bank. Since that $600 is only a drip you must maintain quite a balance, which would meet the mimimum requirements of most major banks for free accounts. Where if you had a problem you could go talk to someone face to face.

Good Luck

I’ll save the details for those who can rectify this situation or my attorney. For your Trolling pleasure this was for awareness buddy. Yes, I have a new card with a balance minus what was stolen from unauthorized charges on my card.... and the 812 case number was me being sarcastic but it was (25 calls to be exact) and 5 case numbers ....still too much,to many for a situation that called for at max 2 - as I side eye you and your "rebuttal”. Additionally, $600 is a drip for me dear with 12 charges from $1.99 to $165 from various merchants. But I’m surely not asking you what’s in your wallet. So with that if you can enlighten me or other consumers to what possibly went wrong or have a super power to fix their process or my situation, please excuse your negativity and behavior from my post. Thanks in advance!

Those magic words

Oh yes those magic words.."I'll spare you the details".

Well I have news for you, those "details" very often provide a lot more explanation than the fluff that is often left in it's place.

You say you had over $600 in charges on your account over 11 days, that's not exactly a drip. So how long was it between the time the first charge appeared and you notifying H&R Block? When you did report it did you cancel that card and recieve a new one? If not why not? Did any charges come in after you made your initial dispute?

By the way just how exactly did you get to 812 separate case numbers?

Did you receive the letter giving you the reason why? If so what was the reason they provided?
