After 9 months of fighting with Hughes Net to get even part of the service I was paying for, I terminated their service. For this I was charged a termination fee.  I have sent hours several times a week on the phone because of no internet service.  As an elderly woman, crawling under the desk and pulling out cables from the router and computer is not an easy  accomplishment and should not be expected to simply be able to have internet service.  Then there is the necessity of hooking it all up again after you have satisfied their requests.

Even with the very limited use I had of the internet because of the ongoing problems, there was an unexplained extreme use of my data base.  There was usage even when the computers were turned off for the night with as much as 350 m used during the night.   I live in the country so someone hacking my service isn't possible and I have found no proof that a router would use data in that fashion when no computer is even on.
