I want to save other players and parents from this monster! Here is a man who named an organization after himself and uses it to rip you off and make himself look good. He is a wolf is sheep's clothing.

He starts off asking for money for uniforms and practice time. Then asks for money for tournaments or has a parent pay for the tournament and NEVER pays them back. A few weeks later asks for more money. He doubles the cost of everything and makes a massive profit off of young players who just want to play their sport.

He he lies about his credentails and what he does with the money. He is a scam artist. Please do not give this man your money. He does not use it on your child. He does not play the coaches what he tells you he pays them it is less. take your child to a real team with a honest business plan.

He he has had to move around south florida to keep away from upset parents who he owes money to still. he has been kicked out gyms when they made aware of the issues he is causing.

Take your money and child else where. This company and man are a scam and he is actively ripping you off!

I am another parent who has left the organization as well. I agree with some statements from both groups but my main reason for leaving the organization was mostly I felt I was treated as a second class member of the same organization. Parents who have more money are spoken to more, given more attention and treated differently than us parents who make it happen for our children. As far as scholarships go I was told the other parents help with the sponsoring of the children and the fundraisers that are held help as well. I too felt as if I was always asked for more money. As far as grades go we sent a report card once for clearance purposes and we're never asked for an update, my child's grades are no reflection of his coaches but his own hard work and effort. Put your child on whatever team you see fit but make sure you have all your questions answered before you give anyone, any money.

Let me start off by saying I'm happy you are having a better experience but you seem to be one of the few. As far as proof goes I don't know if you need to a credit card receipt for the multiple times I paid for things including tournaments. Then there is the lie you are being fed about sponsored children which is their cost is tucked into the whole team or other parents sponsor the child. Sanchez does not pay for them from his pocket.

I belived I was getting a fair price too until I started shopping around. For less than I gave him I get a long season more tournaments and more practice time. I paid upfront with a breakdown of where my money was going no guessing game. Also I've seen better improvement in their playing and self confidences. My child was lied to often with Sanchez and told things like "you're on the second time for a reason" and others even though he played variety at school.

Also so as a parent I do not credit Sanchez with my child's grades. That is a seperate thing and his honor rolls have not been Sanchez's hard work.

We have found a better home and it was playing there that made it clear to me I was ripped off. It is my hope no other parent is ripped off and lied to like I was.

This organization prides itself on creating a place where players have a positive atmosphere and where young athletes who not only want to become better basketball players but play at the highest level are given an opportunity to do  so.

One of the things that sets our organization apart from others is that we hold a high value on being student-athletes. Students before athletes. Our players are expected to hold a 3.0 GPA and if they are having trouble our coaches and volunteers are always open and willing to help.

I started this organization after college, it was the name I chose at the time and with the small team I started with, it took off. I am not quite sure what you intend to insinuate by addressing my name in the organization as a ‘rip off’ technique, that is quite obviously a falsified statement.

My credentials are listed on our website – about us section – as well as on the internet as I played Division 1 Basketball at FAU. I nor did FAU falsify any of my accomplishments or stats and it is a complete defamation of character to state otherwise.

To address your concerns involving season fees, we send out e-mails – if you have signed up to receive updates—and if you have not we also post updates and information on our website (shown above). Here is an example of last year’s tryouts: hughleyhoopsters.com/2013/12/he-spring-try-outs-announced/. You can clearly see at the bottom of this page there is a General Information section that clearly states that there will be a payment for the season. We also work one on one with families who need a specialized payment plan. There is also copy stating that uniforms are NOT included in the fee. It gives details to when the organizational parent meeting will be held if your son has made an HE team.

To go into further detail at the organizational meeting the coaches go over the rules and regulations for the season which is included in the Elite Handbook. The handbook is given to every player who makes the team. The handbook includes what to expect for practice, games, tournaments, fees, etc. In this handbook the season fee is listed. [Page 14] States the Elite Financial Commitment for the given season. The Elite coaching staff do not pay for tournaments out of their own pocket, which is what you are arguing. The handbook clearly states and it was discussed that the season fee covers costs of coaches, gym fees, AAU membership, and tournament fees. Not only do coaches go over this at the mandatory organizational meeting but parents sign and hand in forms stating they have read and understand what is written in the handbook. There is a number and contact information if any parents have questions.

We actively work out of multiple gyms in the area, trinity being our primary. ‘He he has had to move around south florida to keep away from upset parents...’ this is yet another falsified statement. We have moved gyms based on fees and scheduling issues.

I am willing to talk with you personally to help address any issue you may have had with payments, we keep records of check dates and check numbers in case anything needs to be assessed. We have an open door policy; I am always open to address parents’ concerns or questions. I’d love to say that all of my parents are happy (100+) but I doubt you’ll find that anywhere. I do my best to teach these kids everything I know, and to help them improve their game and mind. I’d like to think that the passion I have for what I do shows through my work. I wake up excited every day and can’t wait to get to the court. While our players and parents can go to a number of different organizations in the area—as can anyone—they support us and happily choose us over others. Because we are more than just an organization, here we are a true family.

I would like to contact you in order to get this matter straightened out but you did not leave a valid name or e-mail address which unfortunately makes it hard to find this report credible in anyway.

Respectfully,

Sanchez Hughley

#5General Comment

I am very upset about the negative comments and blatant lies that were written about Sanchez Hughley and and the Hughley Elite Travel Organization.  Both of my sons have played for Coach Sanchez for over a year now.  Joining Hughley Elite was one of the single best decisions I have ever made for my boys.  Not only is Coach Sanchez an amazing coach, but he has been a mentor, teacher and friend to my boys.  In fact, EVERY boy in his organization looks up to him as a role model and mentor, and he takes that roll very seriously.  Not only do the boys in Hughley get the best basketball training and instruction out there, but they are taught life lessons every single day on and off the court.  The boys learn sportsmanship, friendship, loyalty, teamwork, respect and so much more.  Coach Sanchez requires every player to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher to play.

MY boys have never been happier or had higher self esteem being a part of Hughley Elite.  They have grown as basketball players and young men.  Coach Sanchez has given my boys an amazing opportunity and I couln't be more thankful or appreciative.  That being said, I am upset and frustrated over the comments I read about Coach and the organization on this website.  I truly feel in my heart that this was written by a very angry and jealous person.  I don't know why someone would write these lies, but they did.  WHERE IS THE PROOF OF THESE ACCUSATIONS? Anyone who plays travel ball know that it is a very expensive undertaking.  Hughley doesnt charge more than any of the other SO FL travel teams, so I don't know wht the problem is.  What I do know, and what wasn't mentioned, is the MANY MANY boys that play for Hughley that are on scholarship and that Coach Sanchez pays for.

I have witnessed Coach Hughley give his heart and soul to his organization every single day. He truly cares about every one of his boys becoming better basketball players, but more importantly, great young men.  I urge jealous, angry people to shop spreading lies about others.  Calling Coach a monster and a scam is the most rediculous thing i have ever heard and anyone whose child has been on HE knows that.
