IDCSERVO ,Progressive Office Products SCAM REPORT: Copy Toner Rip Off Scam Covina California
This company is a SCAM! I received my first call from a gentlemen asking to verify my copy machine's product ID numbers. He claimed to be from the "warehouse that ships my toner." I thought that weird considering every time I've ordered toner for my HP copy machine, it was direct orders from HP itself.
I provided the numbers. Then the guy says he's "new" and that his co-worker would come on to finish the deal. Then a woman comes on the phone claiming that the price of toner went up from $498.00 to $548.00 on 09/01/08, but since they never notified us of that increase, they, the good company and client stewards they are, would save 3 boxes for us at the lower price. Of course, the toner was 51a, not 51x (which basically means 1/2 the number of printed sheets per cartridge). On top of that, we pay less than $200.00 for the larger 51x and IDC charged $500.00 for 1/2 the number of copies!!!
Every time I asked one of the representatives a pointed question or pointed out a fact they didn't want to hear (for instance, that we pay less than 1/2 what they are charging for a toner cartridge that provides twice the number of copies)...BAM...I get hung up on. They hung up on me a total of 3 times over 4 calls because I: 1) asked for a call back number; 2) pointed out the high price of their toner over the price we already pay; and 3) noted that I've always ordered directly from HP and therefore IDC never would be involved in the transaction.
The fact they representative hung up when pushed is quite telling. Whatever you do, DO NOT order anything from this company. End the call as soon as possible and threaten them with calling the Better Business Bureau. For more information on the BBB, please see http://welcome.bbb.org/.
