Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It started with a friendly, soothing phone call. Promises were made, credit card numbers were exchanged and things seemed ok.The representative, Phil,  promised an exact delivery date, and a window of four hours for the actual drop off. He then asked for a $ 200,- dollar deposit. He talked about his 30 yr moving history, and the A+ rating of the company.

The next  morning we called to confirm the pickup and were told their computer had made an error, the pickup was scheduled for next month!!!! (name of the person: JACOB)

That got fixed, and after some begging and pleading three movers showed up the next morning (an hour late) at our storage facility. They came with a rental truck, not with a truck bearing their logo, which seemed strange.

At the storage bins, they told us we had more stuff than they had anticipated ( even though all had been itemized before and was under 2000 lbs) and proceded to charge us several hundred dollars over the agreed and previously supposedly "binding" amount.

But it gets better!

After everything was packed half hazardly, and we carefully voiced our concerns, we were presented with several legal size papers to sign,- military style, and upon our request to read what we were going to sign treated as if we were completely off the wall.

The individual watching this at the storage facility could hardly believe her eyes and was as disturbed as we were.

However, as we needed things moved, we read and signed the bill of lading and agreed that the goods be delivered on a particular day at a particular time. At this point, three people, Phil, Jacob and Joe had assured us that our move was indeed going to take place and wld be delivered on the agreed date at the agreed time.

Two days later we called to re-confirm.

The person on the phone, supposedly another person by the name "Jacob" was extremely unpleasant, told us that;      "No one ever promises a date" not to mention "A time" and that he was too busy dealing with things to look into it. A person named Jackie was going to call us.

When Jackie called, she made no attempt to resolve the issue but started pointing fingers and denying responsibility.

Since this is an out of state move, we are now unsure whether our belongings will get to our address at the originally promised time. We have reserved elevator space, booked flight tickets and are also starting a semester...

THIS SITUALTION IS NOT IDEAL AT ALL!!!!

We are completely in limbo, out thousands of dollars and have no idea what is going to happen. The employes of "Ideal Movers" will not reveal the name of the actual company owner, and all the numbers listed on their Website (even the ones out of stste!) are answred by the same person! Guess who? JACOB.:((

We'd greatly appreciate any help we can get!

Someone has to stop these guys from abusing people and ripping everone off.

Thank you.

We are ready to start legal action and would also gladly participate in a class action suit.
