Buyers beware!

I purchased an iGPS watch in hopes of being able to track the whereabouts of my child and to have seamless 2-way communication (messaging and calls) with her throughout the day. The iGPS Wizard watch promised just that - real time GPS tracking, two way voice calling, voice messaging and SMS text messaging to name of few of the features I was most attracted to. I received the iGPS Wizard watch on Monday, 1/22/18 and set it up immediately. The set up was rather simple, which I was pleased with. I downloaded the app to my iPhone and started exploring the features on the watch. I quickly discovered there were numerous issues with the features/services the company claimed the watch would be able to perform.

1. SMS text messaging was an inaccurate description of this capability. The watch can send a sticker (or emoji, if you will) to my iPhone - but it doesn't allow the child to text any content/words. Additionally, the "text" shows up as a notification in the app on my iPhone, not as an SMS text message. False advertising.

2. Voice Messaging is a feature that doesn't exist currently, despite being listed as one of the differentiating features on their company website (https://igpswatch.com/#). I called tech support the next day to see if I was doing something wrong. The Technical Support representative let me know the feature has not yet been fully developed. While I was on the phone he confirmed with the development team that they are on track for this feature to be completed by the end of next week, at which point it will be submitted to Apple and GooglePlay for review/approval (which can take weeks from that point). False advertising.

3. The battery life on the watch is 30-60 minutes maximum, and I'm not exaggerating. Tuesday morning the watch was fully charged at 100% and died in my child's hand less than 30 minutes later and she hadn't even used it to make a call/send a sticker. I tried again - charged it Tuesday night, it was fully charged at 100% the next morning and died less than 20 minutes later after zero activity (I left it on the counter untouched to see what would happen). Poor quality.

4. Phone call quality is awful. Me and my family members tried calling the watch numerous times from different phone numbers and at different locations - every time the adult calling the watch received a terrible echo that was so distracting to the call they were unable to have a conversation. Poor quality.

I called iGPS watch 3 times before receiving a call back from Mark Kalinowski, who identified himself as the Manager of the Billing Department. I explained my frustrations with the company's misrepresentation of the iGPS Wizard watch and expressed that I wanted to return the product for a full refund since the watch is unable to perform to the promises/claims stated on their website. He said that was not possible.

I asked Mark to put himself in my shoes - that he purchases a product but finds that when he receives the product it's nothing like what the company claimed it would be. He didn't care. I told Mark that I'm really just looking for us to solve this issue in a respectful and professional way. He reiterated that per policy he won't (not can't) do anything to help. I verbatim asked him at this point "to clarify, it sounds like you are unwilling to work with me in any fashion to help resolve this issue, am I understanding this correctly?" His reply was "yes."

Poor quality product, and zero customer service.
