With great excitement, I went to Illori of Chevy Chase Md to purchse the most expensive frames/lenses I have ever bought. A pair of royal blue Chanel frames and high quality lenses.
My first encounter went pleasantly as I purchased said items for about ~800 dollars.
Spring of 2015. I went to pick up the frames. MY original pair of glasses broken by Veronica as she adjusted them. I was very nice about it and said not to worry. The Chanel frames were in the incorrect prescription so had to be sent back.
I am a physician and was working most days from before the shop opened to after it closed. Ic alled number times to find a time to pick up the frames. Each time, I was promised a call back by Veronica. This never happened.
I asked if I could pay to have the glasses shipped. Again, I was promised a call back and this never happened
I went in finally to pick them up and again, the prescription was not correct. My original frames which she had broken were back. She refused to adjust them and called them "Cheap frames from Costco that she refused to touch". I was very upset.
I was from this moment on in touch with only the manager. He quickly showed his true colors. I have several text messages on my phone and several emails promising a reply by "x" date. All of these dates were missed. I have proof in form of text and email where promises were continuously broken.
I ended up contacting Ilori's central office 3 times by email. All my emails were unanswered.
I told Mr Urey I was leaving the country and NEEDED the correct lenses. He again, failed to reply until I was already gone (Fall of 2015 at this point).
It took 5-6 months and I finally gave up.
