iMAGE Marketing Another scanadalous waste of time for professionals! San Diego, California
This company advertised on Careerbuilder for marketing executives. They claim to be an expanding company looking for people to complete their marketing and promotions team. Their only clinet is Home Depot and they actually only want people to hang out in Home Depot stores and bother consumers with a bunch of nonsense.
I was asked to dress professionally and bring a resume. When I got to the office it was a run down shack with dirty carpet and crusty white boards on the wall that needed a good scrubbing. The person who interviewed me wore cheap clothes and he had holes in his ears that you get at tattoo and piercing shops and make your ear piercing look like the size of dimes. Not the kind of person to be considering a professional person with my experience.
Why advertise for a marketing person when what you really want is a sales person...two entirely different things. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. Before going on job interviews with these shady people or wasting your precious gas in this economy, do your research. It's difficult to do because they rarely give you any information on the phone.
These types of companies give the high class ones a bad name. The best thing to do is go to an executive search firm where you can be sure to make the kind of salary you deserve and not have the wool pulled over your eyes.
