I sent in my photo to picture.com for a photo contest. I recieved an email saying I was a winner and that my photo would be published in their Endless Journeys book. They told me that if I purchase the book through them I would save a great deal of money instead of waiting for it to come out in stores.
I went ahead and purchased the book. It was exciting to think that my photo would be published in a book. Well here it is over 9 months later and I still have not recieved the book. They took my money though, because my credit card was charged.
I have repeatedly tried to contact them with no response whatsoever. You can't find a phone number to call, so I haven't been able to try that. I doubt that it would matter even if I did have a number to call, I don't think I would get an answer.
I have tried looking up info about the Endless Journeys book online and all I am able to find is stories of others who have had the same things done to them. We all seem to be getting the same type of letters from them. We are told that our photo is a winner and will be published in a book that we can purchase. We also get numerous emails saying that they would like to award us at their photography conventions in Las Vegas and show our photo if we pay to attend or pay to allow them to show the photo at the convention.
From what I have been reading, it looks as though this book has been in publication for the past 4 or 5 years. This company needs to be stopped. They are ripping off alot of people and getting away with it.

Don't send them any photos and don't send them any money, unless you like giving your money away to scam artists.
