Back in 2005 -- the company I worked for was a victim of IDCSERVCO. As a company manager, I knew of many a phone scam... but this one was particularly slick. The initial caller said she "was with the company that worked on our copier," and as we had JUST gotten a copy machine on contract (literally, like within a week...), it was fresh on my mind -- and she said that they needed to send us an extra supply of toner. Because it came with only one extra cartridge and I mentioned that I always liked having at least two extra to our sales guy, it seemed like a follow-up to my inquiry. She said she'd fax a form over for me to sign and fax back as a 'requisition' (or a word to that effect) which was indeed, a requisition for two toner cartridges -- giving it a "quick once over," I didn't see any figure on it for billing... and as our contract with our ACTUAL copy machine INCLUDED toner, I figured nothing of it, and sent the fax back. The call ended uneventfully, and a few days later, we got our two toner cartridges. Awesome. A few weeks later, we get an invoice for $600... for the payment of two toner cartridges. I called the company back -- and now, the same seemingly nice people were now rude, abrasive collection agents. Looking over the form I faxed to them a few weeks prior, I quickly discovered my error. After looking into IDCSERVCO on the web, I was quickly educated on this company, called them back, and told them I'd promptly return their toner and that they'd not receive money from me -- which I did the same day. For over two years, every couple of months, they'd call, still harassing, saying we had not shipped back their toner or paid their invoices -- Even after faxing them several copies of my FedEx confirmation showing I'd sent it -- they refused to acknowledge it. I've since left the company, and the owner tells me he hadn't received any calls from them in at least a year or so. IDCSERVCO is definitely a bad company to deal with -- either because they themselves are scammers or are so slipshot they allow it to go on within their business -- I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that part -- but this kind of scamming or ignorance of it is indeed criminal. Ignorance of the law or ignorance of committing a crime on a large scale doesn't make you innocent.

Now I'm really angry because we paid $1435 for 3 cartridges of toner, which, if purchased from just about any other online retailer would be at most $400.
