My company hired Mr. Mariany back in September 07' to do some back end programming on a rather hefty e-commerce site we had won. I did a reference check on him only to find out later that the company he gave me was person in his tight church group. For months on end Jimmy promised us work. When he did not deliver we fired him. He e-mailed us constantly whining and moaning how unfair we where. We felt bad and gave him another job so he could keep the $1600 we gave him and just do different work.
After about a week he talked us into re-hiring him for the original project. We allowed HIM to pick his milestone dates for the deliverable work. One milestone after another went past and no work. As the launch date for this site came up he told us he was well within the time period for delivering his work. Not taking into account all the testing and implementation that was going to be needed. The launch date came and no work. We told him to just forget it and give us our money back, as he never delivered one single thing on the "other" project either. He promised to send us money back, and we even sicked a collection agency after him. No avail.
I also made a report to New Hampshire's BBB and their Attorney General. No word yet, go figure. If anyone else has been taken by this man, please post as we can get charges against him as a professional scam artist. I also posted on CL to warn people of this man. Sorry I did not see the posting by Jewels in Port Orchard. Please do not do any business with James Mariany as he is a raging scumbag.
