I purchased a 2005  GMC Envoy from this dealership in July 2012.  This vehicle came witha  (2) year warranty, thank good ness for me.  In July 2013 the transmission went out, okay, so i had a warranty, had it towed, had to pay for rental vehicle at my expense, and a 30.00 deductible.  They shipped the car to Tranny shop and fixed it with a rebuilt tranny.  Okay no problem good to go,  NOT!

Approximately less than 45 days later, the Transmission goes out again.  Really !  I was a little more upset this time, i have missed work, taken time off work demanded the rental car, and demanded the money back from my expense on the first rental car when it went out.  Okay the dealer did all this, and shipped the vehicle off to tranny shop again to be fixed, service manager said the clutch plate was bad in first re-built.   Okay, again week later i get it back that was in Sept.

Today, October 24 low and behold it goes out again on the way to work at 6:45am.   Okay i ask the dealer for a different vehicle and advise i will be filing a formal complaint andrequested to a different car all together.   I was told due to a contract they can not just trade out cars.

They put me in a rental vehicle, a truck only if i gave them my Bank card.  Than the dealer offers me a Gift Card of all things for my trouble, how am i supposed to get to work and back on a gift card fly, needless to say i told them to shove it and they will hear from the atty general.

Now how long is it going to take to get my car back again.   I am done with this dealership !  Do not buy a vehicle from them. It will just give you headaches, cost you more money and time than it is worth,.

  •  OBVIOUSLY THIS HAD ISSUES THAT WERE NOT DISCLOSED.
  • OBVIOUSLY THERE MECHANICS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX A TRANSMISSION RIGHT THE FIRST TIME !!
  • I AM SUPPOSED TO THINK A GIFT CARD WILL COVER MY HRS MISSED FROM WORK, STANDING IN THE COLD NOT ONCE BUT THREE TIMES DUE TO THERE CARELESSNESS.
  • OBVIOUSLY A GIFT CARD IS NOT GOING TO GET ME TO AND FROM TO WORK.
  • YES THEY SHOULD TRADE THE CAR OUT IF THEY CAN NOT GET IT FIXED RIGHT THE FIRST TIME !!!

YES I AM REALLY COMPLAINING,  HERE YOU HAVE A 10K VEHICLE THAT OBVIOUSLY HAS ISSES !!

You bought a 7 Year old USED car with who knows how many miles and 1 year after you bought it the Transmission went out.  So you used the warranty and pay a $30 deductable.  They fix the car and return it to you.  Then within 45 days it goes out again.

So what do you do.  You get them to not only refund your car rental from the first time, you get them to pay for the car rental the second time and they fix it again(apparently with no additional deductible).

But then it goes out again, so yes inconvienent but once again they are now paying for a rental and because of your inconvienence they give you a Gift Card to somewhere.  But that is not good enough for you so you toss it back in their face and write a RipOff Report on them and say you are going to call the Attorney General.  Because they won't trade out cars.

Really?  Unless you can prove that they are not following the Warranty you can contact the Attorney General all you want, but the only answer you are going to get back is in effect "We will keep a record of this, but if you want to take action against them you need to do it on your own".  Which is their nice way of saying that there is nothing wrong with what they are doing.   Oh and when you tell this story to an attorney and they don't laugh you out of the office.  Be careful of an attorney asking for a retainer up front, or there is a good chance you will be writting another RipOff report on them in a few months when you complain that they took your money and didn't do anything for you.

Do not buy a vehicle from them. It will just give you headaches, cost you more money and time than it is worth,.

- So far it has cost you a $30 decuctible and some time.  Oh and they even appeared to give you a Gift Card(for how much?) to try and make up for this.
