Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

In July of 2014, I was sent a notice from Jeep Chrysler regarding my Jeep grand cherokee. There was a defect with the ignition switch. According to the notice, the part was not available at the time and I was told that I would be contacted when the part was available . It said to in the meantime, to remove all keys and keyrings and only use one key when driving and to keep a clearance between the key and my knee while driving.  Several months later, I contacted the company to find out when the part would be available so I could have the problem fixed, I was told ....we'll contact you  when the part is available. It has now been over 8 months and the part is STILL not available. This could utlimately cause an accident and the company just keeps giving me the run a round and I think it is completely unacceptable that this mutlibillion dollar company issues recalls and then doesn't fix the problem. This company should either fix the problem now, since it has been such a long time since the recall was issued, or reimburse me for the full cost of the car so I can purchase a vehicle from a company that cares about its customers and provides repairs for their recalls.

REd Deer,
What you need to do by the end of the day.

Get your VIN # for your car and call : 800-247-9753 Chrysler help line. They are going to need the last 8 #s (probably)  Expect to spend some time.  Be very calm and polite no matter how stupid this gets.  Ask them to confirm the order of your recall parts. They probably can't, but thats not the point.

The Point is for you to work up the totem pole until you get a person who can get your parts or light a fire under the person responsible for the delay.  I have helped a couple of retail customers that another Dealer claimed to have done a recall and used the parts on another vehicle.

From the Dealer Level where I am this becomes a real mess. In the end it requires Chrysler Head Office to fix.  In any event it takes a couple days for Chrysler to do anything, the next step is:

If Chrysler can't get this organized with one Call from you and a couple days find to their Butts with both hands make a complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. (NHTSA) They mandadte and enforce Recalls.

Good Luck
