Complaint Review: Joe Gufford Law Office - Stuart Florida

Joseph Gufford has correted the problem and is working with me and I take back in what I said.  He is showing that he is a profetional attonery.

Joseph Gufford  those not get the job done I have $8,500 invested in my case in child support when I hired Joseph it was 4500 to start . but exwife took her sweet time in doing anything right and prelonged the case after almost two year for Joseph to get her for deposition Joseph told me need more money for the deposition so it was 2500 more I told him that is it I have no more money to continue he took the money he did three deposition and wanted to do one more I said no then he tells me that I owe him another 1500 more that depositions took to long due to my exwife playing games and not answering the questions. I told him I have no more money only for the deposition to get type out that cost me 1500 just to get it type.

Know Joseph tell me since I have no more money he is dropping out as my attonery and telling me if I want to continue I need to pay 1500 that I owe him plus pay him another 3500 more to continue the case I am sorry Joseph Gufford only intrested getting all the money he can get out of you in a email he said that if I do not pay the 1500 that I owe him that it will grow and he saids that he is the owner of all the paper work on this case and if I want copies I would have to pay for them just imagine i payed for the deposition to be type and have no  wright to them unless I pay him more money so I have payed 8500 and nothing to show for now I lay and wait to be ripped appart by the court room . When we have a winning case agaisnt my exwife who has done perjury, comptent of court, plus etc If you are very rich you can afford him but I am not rich I took only money I had in my saving account gave it to him know he is richer and I am poorer and nothing to show for .Joseph is not on your side only the side of money. That why they call lawyers SHARKS

 I also had use Joseph Gufford services in the past and it happened to me too, after he got my retainer of several thousands he took long time to get back to me about my case and he did so little for me, he disappeared with my money and dropped out my case. All the money I had save up to be able to pay for an attorney to help me out to get custody of my child went to Joseph Gufford's pocket. So I advise to anybody that is thinking of hiring him please think twice before you become another victim like me and others that have used his services. He is an expert of disappearing with people's retainer.  

I am very sorry that this person has had a bad experience with our office or me.  I invite him or her to  contact me personally to attempt to resolve any issues that he has with our representation. We process our cases in a quick and efficient manner. However, in almost every family law case, there is a telephone book full of paper that must be filed. This takes client cooperation in getting that necessary work completed. Furthermore, in hotly contested cases, the 19th Judical Circuit does not have enough judges to handle the caseload. Thus, for even a 30 minute hearing we have to wait as long as 60 days just to get hearing time. It is very frustrating for me and my clients that we have to go through such difficulties. In any event, not every client is going to be happy, no matter what efforts you put into their case. Further, every case is not a winner. We do our best to win and usualy have excellent results for our clients. But every lawyer who actually tries cases will have some losses. They are inevitable.
