Either A. You are really screwed OR B. EVERY SINGLE THING he said to you in the letter is an outright lie.
I choose option B.
I could go over each point, point by point, but it is just easier to say everything he said to you is a lie. It is amazing to me that absolutely NONE of it is true.
If you are at all nervous acquaint yourself with the provisions of Fair Debt Collections Act. As a US citizen, you have plenty of rights and protections. The thing to be REALLY concerned about is he has your personal information -- you should take steps to protect yourself from Identity theft.
