I bought a Daewoo Nubira in January 2000 in Anchorage Alaska. I had no problems until April of 2002 when I needed my transmission replaced due to a faulty part. I was getting stationed in South Korea and was sending my car home to DC and needed it repaired. I spoke to Koons Ford of Marlow Heights and was told that they dealt with Daewoo's and would be able to repair it under warranty. My car sat in the lot of Koons from June until October 2002 with the excuse that Daewoo kept sending the wrong parts. My mother called the dealership and asked for the part number so she could call Daewoo and order it herself to be delivered to the dealership. She called and ordered the part that they told her to get and then the dealer said they never received it. Long story short, my mother had to drive my car 2.5 hours away to Hagerstown Maryland (Power Automotive) with a broken transmission going about 30 mph the whole way. Koons Ford will never get my business and I make sure to tell all of my friends who are looking for a car not to go to any dealerships with Koons in the name.
