Hello, I am John Lerner, owner of Salvage.Net. Salvage.Net means exactly that. I sell "Department Store Returns" which is considered "Salvage" from Department Stores. I did work with Event Sales for several years. Target Department Store merchandise has always been sold by Event and myself as "Department Store Returns". These loads are not for everyone. I post that all over my website and make it very clear on the phone too. These truckloads are a gamble. Sometimes you get a really great one, sometimes you don't. That is the nature of buying merchandise this way. I want everyone to win, and we do send these trucks directly from an Authorized Target facility. We do not see them, we do not even know what is in the load until a customer reports it to us. We have been known to give back credits, or merchandise if someone indeed really does not get something their suppose to get. For instance, We sold a load to a lady in Tennessee of Target, she got a load full of shoes. She called and was very unhappy. I spoke with Event, Event spoke to Target, and they agreed to take the load back. I called the lady back appox. 2 days later, and she wanted to keep it. She told me that the entire load was full of all brand new shoes. She made a bundle on that truck, but mix ups are a very rare thing. This is always in a category of "General Merchandise" and is basically a grab bag that mostly Mom & Pop stores buy to fill in their shelves because of the huge amount of variety they can get, unlike buying at normal wholesale price, where they would have to buy large amounts of *one* item at a time. I would be more than happy to provide this person's invoice, if I know who he was and if it was okay by him. It would definitly show on the invoice that these are As Is goods being shipped directly from an Authorized Target facility. If someone buys only one load and expects to get rich, this is not appropriate. This same person wrote 2 complaints, it is not fair to try to ruin my name. He took the gamble as we all do and was not happy with the results. I am sure if anyone asked Event about it, they would say exactly the same thing. I hope this helps, John Lerner.
