I was pushed into signing up my son for John Robert Powers "classes", they said initially he was too young, but then Tamela decided to take him "because he has so much potential". I paid the enrollment fee $200.00, and for the first month $100.00. However, I have since asked them to remove him from their enrollment, I was informed by Tamela that I would have to pay the remaining $400.00 even though my son would not be attending the classes.

How can they force you to pay for something you don't receive? Is this legal? I could really use some help here, I don't have $400.00 to spend, which is one of the reasons I am pulling him out. The other reason is that he is too young, and they aren't teaching him anything, so far all I see is they walk up and down the catwalk and do a little art. I can get that from the preschool I am already paying for. I was told there were scouts, however, I've not seen any, and I keep hearing all the same negative information about them. Help if you can.

If this were true then I would not have the amount of sucessful students that I do. If you saw my instructor drag your son, why are you now only making this statement. As a mother myself, I would have made this an issue immediately. Not two years later. The reasons of your unsatification had changed. Let's leave it alone. I am sorry only because you feel this way. I wish I could make it right. I do school almost 500 studants a year. If I have one or two unhappy, I am happy to say I have 499 that feel the opposite. God Bless.

You posted my minor child's name on the interenet, you have no sense at all! If there had been any (very slim) chance that I would have considered bringing my son back to your so called school, there most certainly is none now! His only problems were that 1) he was bored and 2) the "teacher" was barely out of school herself and had no idea what so ever of how to deal with children. I saw her more than once man-handle my son, dragging him up and down the cat walk. This type of "teaching" is hardly condusive to respect or a possitive environment. Not only would I never bring my son back to your "school" I will lgladly proclaim to anyone who so much as mentions your name or your school's name, that there are most certainly better ways to improve your child's future. You are pushy, your staff was not educated in the art of teaching children, and I still (and always will) believe you took advantage of a mother trying to do something for her son's future. Despite the fact that I was in dire financial straights you gave not one inch, insisting that I pay for the balance of a "class" my son would not be attending. I gladly paid the enrollment fee, and for the time he was there. It seems your "policy" is to rip of parents who want to help their children. I for one feel this policy will only earn you more parents like myself who consider you a con artist of the worst kind. Please remove my number and my son's name from any and all records. Do not now or ever in the future lay claim to any "teaching" of my son. DO NOT have any of your staff contact us again.

First of all, I would like to say I never push anyone into anything. I have never enrolled a student on the spot. Ever! Yes, Ethan was 3 years of age almost 4. I did and do see potential in the little man. We registared him for a 20 week program at the investment of $695.(In which we worked out a payment plan method to fit her budget) The mother is the one whom pulled him out of class for financial reasons. Assuming she would not have to pay any more. This is not the case nor our policy. He was disruptive and had some behavior problems, However we were willing to work with him. I also gave the mom an option if they wanted to take a break and wait a year he could come back and restart the program at a later date. We have called her since this time and personally intivited him back.

Each JRP is individually owned and operated. Did you know that? It probably states in your paperwork that there is a limited period in which you may cancel and get a refund. Check this first and see if that time has passed. If it has then you may be out of luck. I suggest you ask them to place you child "on-hold" until he is old enough to resume his training. The owners are good people and I am sure they will work with you. If they are not willing to do that for you or if you need another means of satisfaction then call the JRP Corporate office and let them know of your situation. JRP is a great company with great people! Go on-line www.johnrobertpowers.com and you will see all of their success stories, plus you may be able to find another JRP near you and possibly transfer.
