John Robert Powers ripoff dishonest refund policy Miami Florida
I Authorized John Robert Powers to charge my debit and credit card with 2,900.00 USD ,for acting and modeling classes for my 8 year-old kid. Days after I deciced to cancel the contract because of the bad references I received of John Robert Powers, I sent a Fax and a certified mail letter cancelling the enrollment. I went to their office and Mr. Barry McDonald ( the person in charge )told me that in 30 business day I would have my money back that was on October 2006 to day February 2007 I haven't got my money back, and Mr. McDonald never answers my calls and when I go to his office, never shows up.
There must be a way to stpo this kind of scams.

I am sorry for your situation. However, all JRPs are individual franchises. I don't know why there has been a delay with your refund. I suggest you contact the Corporate office - go onto www.johnrobertpowers.net and then send an email or call them directly. Also, just because of your bad experience please don't judge the entire company (since 1923) too harshly. This is a great company with great people! They also have a great record! More top models and talent have come from the JRP system of schools that all other development centers in the world combined! Don't give up on your child's dreams. You can always transfer to another JRP and try again! Break a leg!!
