My colleague bought a 2 year career program from the New York office for her daughter, and took classes every week - as well as went to their weekly agent auditions - for 16 months before booking national TV commercials for Kmart and Verizon.

One girl in the class was enrolled for 2 whole weeks before signing with Funny Face (a New York agent she met there). Of course she still works with their coaches because she wants to be better than anyone else at the auditions Funny Face sends her on.

How is this a report of a ripoff?

How is this a report of a ripoff? You kid started booking work. Some actors audition for years before either giving up or starting to get some work. So how is a your kid finally booking work at an audition set up and arranged by the school a ripoff and not a success story? I'm sure there are kids that get a two year plan and never get anything either because they have no talent or simply due to bad luck of not being the type or look the casting directors were looking for at any of the auditions? I've heard mixed things about JRP, but don't see what you are complaining about.
