After my daughter auditioned for JRP and was called for a second call-back (I think all children are called back), and then after making it through the second audition, I signed her up for a 5 week acting, dancing and modeling course. Our entire package which was to include "head shots" and a resume costing me $6,110. My daughter had her first class last weekend. The acting instructor was 1.5 hours late the first day. Tomorrow (Feb 2, 2014) was to be her second week of classes.
Last night at 10:00 PM, I received an email stating that the building owner had suddenly passed away and that JRP would not be able to keep the office open and that "We have been in touch with JRP Corporate and there is a great possibility they will be in contact with you in the next week or so to discuss them teaching out your rehearsals. As of now we do not have dates or times, but again someone should contact you. Those are all the details we have at this time."
I emailed my daughter's talent "scout" and never heard back. I don't know if we will ever hear from JRP again but plan to do everything in our power to get our contractual services fulfilled or our money refunded.
