Just Brakes is just a big rip-off Clearwater Florida- Car owner's Beware! What total jerks!! *UPDATE
Hi, if there is a class action lawsuit against Just Brakes - count me in.
These guys are horrible!!!!
I went in to get the $99.00 break job, that would replace break pads because my brakes were sqeeking - big mistake!!
I was told "all kinds of things were wrong with my car - any it they didn't perform about $600 worth of repairs - I would be in danger!
What was wrong with my car? you name it! Pads, rotaries, axle,
boots, anything and everything you can think of. So, what do I
do? Okay - just fix the really important stuff that really, really needs to be fixed - I was told all work had a full warranty -
Needless to say, Just Brakes got about $500 from me - were rude,
did a crappy job - any get this - my brakes still sqeeked!!
What total jerks!!
I do not think they did anything - they promised to save old parts for me but "lost" them.
I went back about 3 months later - asked if I could get the advertised $99 brake job special... went to the same place, same car. Thought I'd see what they had to say about my breaks -
You would not believe this!!! Same story -everything is wrong with your car and brakes - it will cost $715 for all brake-related work. Never mentioned any warranty, I guess all the work they had done 3 months prior was pure crap. I got the same story as I did the 1st time.
Well, I told them to do all the work - do it all - charge me $715 and make sure you do it right. And them promptly canceled the check. I know this sounds horrible, but they are a very creepy company and was not going to be ripped-off twice! I paid them in full the 1st time and expected them to help me and fix my brakes. After bringing my car in the 2nd time to the same location and hearing the same crap - I knew this company was no good.
Now - I need your help!!! They are trying to ruin my credit!! I wrote them a check and cancelled it - now they are totally screwing up my credit -with no regard to any service of lack of it they performed.
I hate this company - stay away from them!!!

Please note - I did pay them once in full, thought I had to - they said I needed tons of work,that they never did. I paid them
almost $500
3 months later, I went back and acted like a totally new customer, same car of coure - and was told to fix my brakes it would cost $701.95!! So, I said "go ahead, whatever it
takes" and then I stopped payment of the check. I knew they would never make good on their 50,000 mile warranty.
I thought maybe I could take them to small claims court and show that they ripped me off big time 3 month prior and that I
did not owe them anything. But now they are totally messing with my credit which is not good.
