I went to the Just Brakes store in Frisco ,Texas. to get my brake pads
done. They said my car needs more work and tried to sell me things that
are not required. They gave me an estimate of over $700. I did not buy
into their selling tactics as I had an estimate of actual work required
from Brakes Plus.I asked them to just change the pads but they some how
convinced me to get additional parts changed for over $500. I wanted to
walk away but the asst manager and manager(brad) sweetened the deal
with some discount. I also told them that I wanted to use the Groupon
that I bought to get pads changed. The asst manager and manager went
inside and made me sign the deal.

Driving back home, my car made some clucking noises, My car never
made any noise before. I took it back the next day. They said they have
not found any issues and suggested me to ignore the noise and drive
at-least 200 miles. They also showed me the new pads on my car, however
the part they said they will replace it with new was missing. They made
me pay $149 for it. When I asked the manager, he said they rebuilt it.

I thought it is of no use arguing with people who have no moral obligation towards their customer.
They are dishonest and they do this to get commissions on the net profits.

I
also think that they do these deals(groupon, coupons etc..) mostly  to
get people to the store ... and make customers pay for additional things
that are not required or do not do the job that they estimate.

I will never go to Just Brakes again. They are BIG SCAMMERS

As far as the clunking noise goes, there was an obvious issue there.  don't what it was, since you failed to leave that one out.  Also do not know which part they "rebuilt", since you failed to leave that one out as well, or post a picture of your invoice.

The reason I have to think "duh" and laugh is because of your comment, "I also think that they do these deals(groupon, coupons etc..) mostly  to get people to the store".  Well, no surprise there!  Why do you think any merchant/business spends money on advertising???  To get customers in the door!!! Why would any business owner spend money on newspaper ads, tv ads, mailer/flyer ads, or Groupon packages, without the expectation of perhaps making some sort of profit???  This is a perfect example of why I cannot stand Groupon.

Have you ever purchased and used a Groupon for a restaurant?  For instance, pay $10 for $20?  Of course, the restaurant advertises that Groupon to get new customers in the door during a slow season, with the expectation that the Groupon customer might actually purchase appetizers, drinks other than tap water, and possibly dessert.  In that aspect, the concept is the same industry-wide.

Some differences with the automotive industry, however, would perhaps be:  You come in to my shop with a Groupon for brake pad replacement only.  You come in because your brake caliper is locked up, wearing away the brake pad, causing the metal backing plate of a brake pad to grind into one of the brake rotors.  Throwing your brake pads on there IS NOT going to fix the brake caliper problem.  Not replacing the brake rotor or replacing or rebuilding the caliper will cause premature wear to the brake pad and leave a loud noise when applying the brake pedal.  You will still come back complaining because your Groupon did not get to the root of the problem.

Im not defending Just Brakes in anyway, since they are an incredibly low-rated company.  I would never take any mine, my family-members or friends vehicles there.  However, I am complaining about the fact that you are no different that the rest of the 90% of Grouponers and couponers.  I would, however, recommend getting a second opinion on that clunking noise.
