I was a faculty member. Keiser Career College only cares about money. They rip students off. Students are forced to use the schools loans. They are made to pay while taking classes. If they were late the student is not allowed to attend. The school accepts students not qualified so as to make money. Students are allowed to fail numerous times so as to keep making money. After spending huge amounts of money, many cannot get jobs because many students are not qualified. Chancellor Arthur Keiser is the individual behind these practices. If a faculty member questions these practices they will be reprimanded or terminated. Keiser is now Southeast, but it is still run by Chancellor Keiser. No other institution will ever accept credits because Keiser isn't appropriately accredited. This is an institution to be avoided.

Hi, to the poster who stated that she wanted to do a class action.....count me and some of my classmates in, in particular regarding the financial aid and the school charging us for things we didn't get or got double-charged. Don't know how to contact you so if you could leave some info about this........we are at the St Petersburg campus now known as Southeastern College.

I graduated from keiser in October 2010. I have yet to get a job in nuclear medicine. I have loans, reaching almost $40k. My story is almost identical to yours. I would love to sue them and have them pay off my debt that is growing with interest. I'm at this point now, where its time to renew my licenses and turn in CEUs. Well, I can't afford any of that to be honest. I do have a family and 3 kids.
Times are tough and I feel like that school is money hungry. Hospitals frown upon this school. They would rather hire someone from a community college, than someone who was rushed through school. My cousin just graduated 6 months ago and is finding herself in the same boat as us, except she went for healthcare management. I was promised the world when I enrolled. No one has called since I graduated. I am very disappointed in this school.

Keiser is regionally accredited by the Commissison on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) which has exceptionally high standards. I'm sure they'd be interested in hearing about all this.
Program accreditation links can be found on Keiser's website here: http://www.keiseruniversity.edu/accreditation.php
As for your student loans, you shouldn't be paying them while in school, and you have a 6-month grace period after you graduate or leave school. Contact your lender about this, and about payment options. You can apply for a deferment if you're unable to make payments now.
