they call me to buy my 2012 hyundai Elantra back and get me a good deal for a 2013 so I went down found a new I liked and traded my 2012 in. They got me a loan with Hyundai Finance and University Federal Credit Union. They paid my loan for my 2012 but didn't pay it in full. The Credit Union sent them a check or what they called a cuddle account to pay off Hyundai. Ken Garff never followed up with the loans so the Hyundai finance kept calling me for there money . I tried to tell them what I knew and they told me to bad we want the money or the car.Kept calling the loan office the guy that did my loan never would return my phone calls so I talked to his boss . Then his boss which his name was Scott called the next day said they sent the check out on June 24th. I had him email a copy of the check and it was dated July 2 2013 so he also lied. Now I get a bill in the mail from Hyundai finance saying the loan wasn't paid in full. And I called Ken Garff and left a message with a Ryan Baker and he well not return my phone call . This has been going on since the end of May 2013 I have been trying to work this out with Ken Garff and they won't have anything to do with me. I am a single female and I feel they should at least pay the loan in full to Hyundai finance I took the loan out and have to pay it ,I want to know where the money went and why my loan isn't paid off? And why I've had to go though this had to take time off work to call people and it is a financial burden on my part by having to finish paying off loans that they should be.

Why exactly do you feel that they should pay the loan in full. They offered you a trade in amount. You agreed to it. That is then applied to what YOU owe on the loan. If there is a outstanding balance then YOU should pay it. Just because everything isnt going like clockwork is no reason to demand they pay off YOUR loan. Things take time. Sometimes more time then we feel it should. But the ppl handling your issue can only go at the pace that the system they work within will allow. That being said, for you to expect ANYTHING above or beyond from them is sheer stupidity on your part. You know better. Hence why you are taking the time out of your very busy day to write a post to complain that someone isnt giving you MORE money. You didnt have to do the deal with them and you chose to accept what they offered. Get over it and pay what you owe.

Also I note that they tell you the check was sent off on the 24th...How exactly does it have ANY bearing WHEN the check was written?? If it was written on the 2nd and not sent out until the 24th, how does this entitle you to MORE money?

There is a local Government agency in your state that oversee's car dealers.

File a complaint.

Even though they have no real power call the BBB, file a complaint.

Call the finance company or bank your new loan is with, file a complaint with them. They will say its not their problem, explain the issue and each time they say not their problem go up a management level and tell them it actually a complaint about the company they are doing business with. Be nice but don't take no for an answer.

You did not state how much money this is, if it less than  the small claims limit where you live sue the dealer for the maximum amount you can document in costs and such. It takes time and a filing fee, but at the end the Dealer has to stand and explain to the Judge why its not his fault. And thats good fun every time I see it happen. The nice clerk at the court house will walk you through the proccess and advise you on refrence material to make your claim likely to win in court.

In the imortal words of my uncle Billy, dont get mad, get even. I your case stand in court and smile whyle the Dealer tries to talk his way out. Win Loose or Draw he will have lost.
