Kerr Auto Sales - Kerr Motor Company ripoff sold me a car without a title ripoff Knoxville Tennessee
I purchased a car from kerr auto sales on oct 28,2005. I paid cash money for the car, it was a birthday present for my 17 year old niece.
She was very excited about getting the car. It is a 1999 chevy monte carlo with 20inch wheels and tires very good looking car for a teenagers birthday present. My wife and I worked very hard to get the money to pay for this for her.
Now it has been 4 months since the purchase of the car and we have no title no registertion or tags for the car. My niece got stopped by the police for expired drive out tag and another wanting to know why she did not have any proof the car was hers.
We have been in contact with people from the car lot several times and even been to the car lot and have always got the run around. They always say we are trying to get the title. We had the vin number run and it is registered to a different car lot.
We would either like our money back or another car just like this one. As of about 2 months ago we haven't let our nice drive the car because we are not sure what is going on. No one from car lot has ever contacted us. We have always had to call them or go by there to try get some information.
We have also filed with the better business bureau. Still have not heard anything from them either. My niece is getting ready to go to college and she really a car to drive that she depend on. We had already started some repairs to this car before we realized we werenot getting a title. So we have no stopped all work on the car.
We just need to something settled. We want her to be safe and have a nice car to drive but it is almost getting to be real problem now.
Any help that you can give us would be great.

just a update we still have not got a title for the car. everyday we call or go by the carlot and get the same answers.this is really getting old,we ask the owner pete for our money back on monday and his reply was i havent sold a car this week i dont have any money..our patients are wearing very thin with this guy if any one can help please email us..
