***CAR BUYING ALERT: Make sure to 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that video on the web to see how some employees at car dealerships in the USA operate when selling vehicles to customers.
The dealership that was exposed in the video is owned by the third largest publicly held automotive dealer group in America. Sonic Automotive owns and operates about 150 car dealerships. They also own several Toyota dealerships throughout the USA.

When I wrote the original review I was very upset. It was expressed to my fiance that she could keep the car and learn to love it and just return it whenever she was ready to make a deal! That in no way implies that she cannot keep it overnight!
Also, when the police came to my place of work they didn't just ask questions. They said that the car dealership said she "stole" a car. They went to my business and my home accusing my fiance of "stealing" a car. Excuse me if i'm not so well versed on legal speak, but that is either slander or defamation of character.
I am writing this to correct the rebuttals on my original reviews, but I have moved on to a different car dealership and am being treated right. They are showing us respect and they will be getting our 35,000.00.

Exactly how were you "damaged" by being asked questions by the police? I'm really curious! Slander? You don't know the meaning of the word!
Sounds like the dealer did make an honest mistake. Maybe once or twice in your life, you've made an honest mistake!
If you like the car, if they treat you right, if the deal DOES NOT include some type of add-on, bogus, phoney fee like "dealer fee" or several hundred dollars to do the title work, then give them the business. If not, then walk away.
There's no slander here, not by a longshot. And no, I don't work for them.

On behalf of everyone at Kerry Toyota, I sincerely apologize in regards to your finance's recent experience with us. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and we take that goal very seriously. Although we do allow overnight test drives, they are not common practice and require specific paperwork that is required by our insurance company. Please feel free to call or email me directly if you would like to discuss your experience in further detail. My staff and I are distraught over the
outcome of this situation. However, not being made aware of your intentions, put everyone at the dealership in a very sensitive situation. Regards, Mark Stein [email protected] 859-371-3939

was open the glove compartment and get the owner's card or the insurance card to get her name, and then call information for the phone number, or send the salesman to the address listed on the owner's card or insurance card to get the car that the dealership obviously gave to her, right?
Most Toyota dealerships are being run by incompetent people. Most Toyota dealerships are also desperate for sales, and will do just about anything to make a sale.
Toyota Corporation is also being run by incompetent people who obviously support deception, manipulation, & trickery, in order for Toyota vehicles to be sold in the USA.
In short, Toyota Corporation and its network of dealers, are a reflection of how most of the U.S. economy functions. Lying, cheating, deceiving, manipulating, and tricking consumers is the 'Toyota way' to do business in America. It's also the 'American way' to do business, in most cases. That's why our economy and our country are in such bad shape.
WELCOME TO OUR TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN THE USA- HOW CAN WE DECEIVE YOU TODAY?

Unless told otherwise, I would think most people taking a car for a test spin know to bring the car back after a few minutes, at least before the dealer closes up for the day.
I've never heard of a dealer just giving you a blank check to ride around and keep a car overnight like that. If nothing else there's all kinds of liability issues. Frankly, I'm surprised they allow you to test drive alone, without the salesman along for the ride. Negligence on their part, simply desperate to close a deal, but somewhat less than astute thinking on your parts to think you could keep the car overnight without specifically being told so.
