Complaint Review: kids creations - Internet

I agree with alot of what the person who wrote this is saying. I also have a few ruff peaces on my playset. It looks like the wood was not properly sanded. Fortuanitly, I only had a couple of pieces like ths is. My kids have not had any splinters. It has mostly been just cosmetic.

We have also had a problem with cracks. I understand that checking in wood is normal but this is not normal checking. The cracks a major and are from end to end and deep. The company did offer to send the wood to fix but it would be a major problem to replace certain pieces becaues of the location. If I would have put the set togther myself I would have never put it up until all of the wood was right. We used the companys installers and the installers put it togther even though several pieces of wood was cracked.

Another issue that we have had is that adults can not swing becaues the entire swingset wobbles when anyone over 100 pounds swings on it. I feel that the problem may have been corrected if the set was cemented in the ground but the company does not recommend that.

Another issue that we have had is the hardwire attached to the swingbeam in order to hold the swings is coming loose. I am not sure why this is happening but it makes it unsafe for the kids to swings for fear of the swing coming loose.

I could go on and on but I do not want to spend another minute being aggravated about this playset. It is possiable that I just got a bad set. That is the kind of luck I have. I will say that even ifeverything was perfect with this set it still does not compare to Rainbow or Superior playsystems becaues the wood is not as large. Just compare the size of the swingbeams and supports.

I wont go back and forth on a site that just lets you tear down a company regardless rather it is justified or completely fabricated. But......

There are several things that bother me with the above post.

1.        I get a copy of every single e-mail that is sent to Kids Creations. I do not show a single e-mail from anyone with any of these issues as stated above. Trust me I looked.

2.       When you order a set from Kids Creations you get 3 e-mails from me personally......  1-confirming your order, 2-thanking you for your purchase,and 3-when we ship your set. All you had to do was hit reply from any one of those e-mails and you would have been dealing directly with me. Again, I do not have a single e-mail from anyone who has been unhappy with the quality of their set.

3.       I have only sold 2 sets in Iowa at that price point you mentioned this year. I have contacted both. Both are happy with their sets.

4.       When you buy a Kids Creations set you receive a copy of our warranty that states you will have a lifetime warranty on all wood components. If you had a ladder with a big chunk out of itI would replace it..period. I even sent a lady a new ladder 4x4 because a squirrel chewed on it.

5.       All of our sets are stained so I can imagine you are sanding your stained play set and just leaving bare wood.

6.       If I was only concerned about making a quick buck I would import my sets from China like all of my competitors do.

7.       Our 30 day money back guarantee is very simple. If you dont like it return it for a full refund.

Who knows, we may have sent you a bad play set. You might be 100% justified in all of your concerns and complaints. But, what I know for sure, If you had something wrong with your set and called us or e-mailed us I guarantee we would have replaced any part that you were unhappy with.

I usually tell people when they call that we have never had a dissatisfied customer. After reading the above review against me, my product, and my company I may not be able to say that anymore.
