Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
July 2, 2011, my husband and I were traveling to Rural Hill in Huntersvill/Charlotte, NC to see a Soulfood festival/concert which we had bought tickets for a month prior. The tickets were $64 total and we were excited to see groups like Cameo and the Dazz Band.

However, the excitement was short-lived because although we were told gates opened at 5pm. and the concert started at 7pm, we(and hundreds, maybe even a thousand other ticketholders) were traveling down a rural, isolated, dark and scary which was moving at the pace of snails.

After 3 hours of traveling and reaching only about 3 miles(totally ridiculous), we decided to turn and go home. We could not believe that the radio station was constantly promoting the event even after being made aware that hundreds of ticketholders couldn't even get down the road.

Police sat on the edge of the road in their cars and appeared to be at their wit's end about the backup. I asked one of them what was going on and what was the holdup. His response was simply that he could do nothing about the traffic and that the promoter/organization should have picked a better spot for the event.

I called the number for Kinfolks Foundation and left 8 msg with an answering service. I have never ever received a return call from Pat Williams(the supposed CEO).

I am still searching for a way to get a remedy for this obvious lack of judgement on the part of Kinfolks Foundation.
