This report is to serve as a warning to anyone considering lease or aquiring services from; Kingdom Carriers aka U.S. Backhaulers aka Patriot Carriers of Cape Girardeau Missouri owned and managed by a Mr. Chris Wallace. This was my experience while under lease, the rip-off is what they did when I left.

1) Their operation is basically forced dispatch, they do not offer you loads to choose from, they do not have their own trailers and have to mooch reefer units from companies that need a trailer moved so a driver has to take the loads that are offered because the trailer has to get to a certain point, they also do not have a clientel base that allows them to negotiate any freight, not that that matters as the owner operator only gets 0.92 per mile.

2) No fuel surcharge was ever paid to my truck, and in a phone conversation with the owner, he had stated and I quote "sometimes we get it (fuel surcharge) and sometimes we don't" so if they got it, they kept it.

3) there was no communication between anyone in the office I had loads that appointments were never made for and I wound up having to wait to get unloaded. or no one would know what load I had or where I was going. Incorrect info given on loads.

4) No detention for the time sitting

5)The settlements always took over 3 weeks to get and were 85% of the time incorrect.

6)The Comdata card would not work due to lack of funds sometimes over 2 times a week.

Now the good part. On September 12, 2005 I gave notice over the phone to the owner, Mr. Chris Wallace that I had intentions of terminating my lease, This conversation was taped, though it is hard to hear, my end of the conversation is clear. When I got home I wrote a letter on September 22, 2005 and enclosed it into an Express mail envelope that also contained the bills from the loads I had hauled. The witness to this is my fiance who saw the letter and watched me seal it into the envelopes with the load bills.

I have a copy of the letter and the costomer copy of the mailing invoice as well. They claim I never gave notice. They also claim that they did not get the plate and permits returned within 48 hours, well according to the termination notice, they got that stuff before that time and I have the Express mail costomer copy dated October 1st when those items were sent off and the termination notice was for October 4th so that puts me ahead of the game.

The fax I sent was edited, due to the fact that I was too upset and started to put some bad things in there, I was angry that it had already been over 3 weeks that I had not been paid and my termination date was nearing.

They charged me for "trip Pak" envelopes that I never received as they were left for me at the Rhodes Truck Plaza in Cape Girardeau Mo at the fuel desk, nice place to leave something that needs to get to a driver, very professional and business like.....Not!!

Never got em, have no need to keep something like that, Duh Huh!!

They had me pick up a load in Georgia and drop it in Indianapolis for another driver, a load of chicken, the ignorant driver didn't pick the load up, I got a call from the broker and had to explain to them what had happened. Well apperently the unit ran out of fuel and the load went bad, THEY CHARGED ME WITH THE CLAIM When It was their driver Frank that had not picked up the load on time!!

These same people had a driver pick up a load of Good Humor/Breyers Ice cream on a friday and drop it at the Rhodes truck stop for me to pick up on Sunday. They adamantly stated that someone would keep check on the fuel. Yeah Right!!

I get there early Sunday morning the fuel tank is empty, the unit quit and the box temp was 50 degrees. Yes Breyers they did that to your load. Well, I plan to call Timberlake foods and talk to the guy I spoke with when they wanted to know where the load of chicken was and let them have the link to this web site to send to other brokers. I will also send links to as many people at Breyers as I can get e-mail addresses for.

My intention here, is if I deter 1 driver from making the same mistake, I break even, if I deter someone from giving them a load I make out like a bandit. Since there are no falsities here, I speak the truth, no fabrication.

Mr. Wallace, If your company is doing so poorly that you have to take from an owner operator, keep it. You need it worse than I do, but keep in mind, what goes around, always comes back around SIR!

After contacting the Christian Truckers association, and iforming them of the fraud by Chris Wallace and Company, they were upset to say the least and stated that they would take measures to get Kingdom Carriers to remove the CTA logo from their website.

Hit Him where he relies for support

I do not know what church he attends that seems to give the "moron" the support he needs to continue. A jaunt into Sunday services with a few of us that were burned by this ingrate, standing up in front of his beloved congragation and letting him have it so to speak, might get more than a sidways glance from his supporters. ( I don't live too far away so it would be possible) I have no idea how to stop the pro Christian advertising he uses, it is just plain WRONG! Unfortunately when it comes to religion, filing a false advertisement claim in court probably would not happen, the claims of a Wholesome Christian Atmosephere would be seen as innocuous, however any claim to guaranteed pay or miles etc etc, now there would be a claim. I filed the form to the IRS suggesting that Wallace may be using reciepts that are not legitimately the companies to use as deductions, (you know the ones, owner operator fuel reciepts) Since I actually have no proof of that, I had to state multiple times that due to this persons past dealings, the probability is strong that false deductions were claimed.

Chris Wallace avoiding IRS demand

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, August 16, 2006

As we recently posted Chris Wallace did not pay the income he reported on our 1099. Now the IRS is demanding that he refile and contact us. He has not responded to us. There has to be a way to beat this guy. I hope everyone who reads this has the guts to keep on filing with IRS and the business bureau in Missouri. DON'T GO TO WORK FOR ANY OF HIS COMPANIES.

The religious Chris Wallace hired me on Jan 2004 and didn't pay me until Jan 2005. He filed a 1099 for 2004 of bogus wages. I was audited by the Irs and decided to add up his USBackhauler direct deposits to my checking account, and found out he filed 4000.00 more than I ever received. I was declined detention time and three of his employees who also thought he was a "christian" brother, left his organization, as soon as they found out he was Bogus. I don't know what he did with everyone's money, or why he met everyone at Rhodes truckstop, because he supposedly grew up in that area . One driver also contacted Chris's church and let them in on the scam he was running. And, on his web page he shows Christian Truck Drivers support. Go figure.

Under Federal law and IRS code, as soon as you manage a workers activities or force a schedule, job assignment, etc.. THEY ARE AN EMPLOYEE!! I know this for a fact. Even as a "lease" driver, you can be considered an employee. It's not hard to do. Go online or to your local IRS office and request form SS-8, Determination of Worker Status. You may be suprised. He may be paying back unemployment, workmans comp and may have to pay your entire 15% SS tax. Also go to FMSCA site and look at the Federal Law regarding lease requirements. I guarantee you his lease is illegal. If any part of it is illegal, the entire lease is void. This is just a start. I have more. Have fun!

wrong date listed on return of permits etc

#10Author of original report

Fri, October 28, 2005

I listed the wrong date when I posted the report, the actual date the permits and plates etc where returned was on September 29th 2005 for next day delivery. so they recieved the Important stuff on Sept. 30th, I did send the deactivated ComData card back at a LATER date as I forgot it was in my wallet, so this item was recieved by them after the termination date. It had been deactivated so no one could use it anyways. This was an unintentional error, but I am theoretically still ahead of the game on the dates. But still and again, Mr Wallace if you need that money more than I do, just keep it. Maybe you can keep the company running another week on it. I have posted this report and update on multiple truckers forum sites and have recieved innumerous replies already. GoodDay
