Korman Communities other known as ARK is a terrrible place to live! Hard working folk like my family should not be bullied or talked down to or to be treated like trash by Staff or by Residents if there is some kind of complaint made by the resident, if the resident see's something wrong. Do not let the girls in the front office fool you. They will be sweet as pie UNTIL you sign into the lease and then you are SCREWED. They WILL tell you that every need of yours will be met as a resident of ARK. If you have any kind of problem in your apartment, it will take up to TWO weeks to have the issue addressed. Such as a leaking faucet. That leaking, overtime will cause mold. It did! Unsightly no matter how hard you clean! A ceiling fell in on my girlfriend when she was in the bathroom tub. The up stairs apartment was leaking. The remedy? She was moved to another apartment and had to press charges against the resident above for making lewd comments to her while she was in the bath tub.
My ceiling in my bathroom was even bowing. There is mold everywhere. Very unhealthy if you have children. Broken closets. Broken stoves. Your electric bill alone will be well over 400.00! How much do you want to bet??? I WILL WIN! You do not pay PECO. You pay Korman. And if you cannot afford the entire amount to the electric bill, you will be evicted because they count that as apart of their rent. That is clearly not in the lease. They also will not tell you that you are paying for the outside lighting that remains on 24 hours a day. They will not tell you that your dryer has to be used THREE times before a small load of wash is completed. They will not tell you that the apartments are way outdated in every aspect of living. And no one knows this until they place their John Hancock on the lease. RIGHT THERE, you just sealed your doom not to mention being stuck with an outstanding balance even though the rent is paid every month and 10 days early. There is no working out on the electric bill. ARK, is adding charges. I gave my 60 day notice. I hauled butt, out of there faster than you could say mommy. There is only so much one can take. They just completed a 15 million dollar overhaul.
And 1/4 of the money that helped this massive overhaul came from ARK flipping over apartments faster than one who changes underware. To Illegals. The rest? From folks who get sucked into something like this- There are procedures in place for MOVE IN- Everything looked fine until 3 hours later! Maintenence is BAD! They will steal from you. They will want to smoke Pot with you. If you're into that. There are drugs being used all over the place. It is very rampid. Yes, you can say, it's everywhere, but this place takes the cake. At night, you can hear screams from fighting and domestic disputes. You can watch people & young children vandalizing ARK Property. There are never any parents in sight. These parents are not only lowest of the low, they let their FIVE YEAR OLDS run around outside, at night, 10:00 pm late enough for you? They are confrontational, they think that their little precious Johnny is a good good boy! WRONG! He's smoking and setting fires to the dumsters. Scratching cars and throwing rocks through resident windows. Little Johnny is probably peeping through windows, the little pervert.
And then there is the grown up black man. He loves Children. He eyes each child up as he buys them candy, ice cream, etc.... And again, where are the Parents? In their apartment on the phone or the computer or doing drugs or sleeping or they just left and there is total unsupervision. When reported to the Police, they will arrive, take notes, and leave. They will also tell you to contact the property manager. I do believe that her name is Sharron. Her boss is Brooke. When both were told what was happening, I was asked to leave because Brooke didn't want to be "bothered". Just by the way that she spoke to me over these very serious concerns, I knew right away that either she was on drugs or she has very serious anger issues. Either or, Brooke went totally postal and as we all know, normal people do not behave in such a way as Brooke did. It was very low class and I found her personally mentally challenged. Sharron on the other hand just ignores you. Sharron trots around the office like a princess. She thinks that she looks good but with all the war paint that she calls make up, she could be a man for all anyone knows.
The staff in the club house are so young, they still play with dolls. There is one old woman in there who looks rather haggard. She thinks she's hawt to trot! She will scold you. YOU. She will get right into your face. Now, that woman is mental.
So I am stuck with a remaing balance. Who cares if it goes to a collections agency. I'll dispute it. But it is a no brainer when you are offered a five bedroom house for the same price as a TWO bedroom apartment. What would you choose? My bedroom is bigger than the ENTIRE apartment that I lived in. That still blows my mind with all the space but life is much better, everyone is happy, not miserable, listening to all sorts of things at night. Much like when ARK leases apartments out to Foreigners and Illegals. And when they are banging up stairs at THREE AM, waking you and your spouse out of a sound sleep when you have to be at work in two hours, NO THANKS! I have taken a financial hit but it was worth it.
If you want to get jacked for all of your hard earned cash, this place IS RIGHT FOR YOU!
