Complaint Review: KOS Enterprise Aka Kirby - Amherst New Hampshire

It almost made me sick how much our experience was alike. I had been searching craigslist non-stop for weeks and every lead I got was a scam. So when I saw an actual phone number and address, I was excited! The receptionist answered under "Platinum Development". I asked what type of company it was, pay, hours, ect and she said she was not authorized to give me any of that information but it would be discussed in an interview. I thought, well, ok, and set up an interview time. I googled Platinum Development as well as the phone number and could not pull anything up, except some craigslist adds that said it was an "expanding company", so I figured it just wasn't established yet. I pulled up to the interview, and there was no sign on the door except a printed sheet that said "If you're here for an interview have a seat and fill out an app." I noticed there was basically nothing in the office, but it looked like someone was possibly wiring a computer or something. I was led into an office with a well dressed but somewhat shady looking man who I presumed to be a boss. I started in how I was looking for a full time job and he even implied he would hire me as a manager on the spot (granted, I STILL had NO CLUE what the heck this company was/did). It wasn't until orientation the next day where I realized they were selling Kirby vaccumes. And let me tell ya, I wouldn't get angry at one of those kids if they came into my house, because DANG THEY ARE GOOD. They promised a 1600 dollar salary right from the get go, that we'd be given a company car to drive, and that all we would have to do was demonstrate their products NO SALES to people who made appointments. I'm going, who in the world would call and make an appointment to see a $3000 vaccuum...but...hey, they said they've been around for 90 some years. They promised us everything from dinners to parties to a trip to the bahamas. I mean, they had me SOLD. So I walked out all excited to start, and then it dawned on me something just wasn't right. And that's when I found this site. They decieve their employees as to their sales practices...now I understand every dealer is different, and I'm sure there are some honest people out there...but this is rediculous. And if you wonder why they are so pushy- 1. The salesman has to pay the CSR (people who show the product) salary if they don't sell 2. They are promised trips (and almost every single one of the people in there with me were the same, struggling and just needed to earn rent). ALL the manager talked about was money. "I make 6 figures, and you can too! I have a big a** house and motorcycle that you could never afford" And they preyed on us desperately NEEDING that money. Now that I think about it, it's totally sick. They had a whole "history" of the company and how successful it's been... and their "manager" cursed like a sailor the WHOLE TIME. Please, no one else fall for this crap. Once again, I'm sure there are some good, honest salesmen out there, but not this guy.

I worked for a similar company for two days before I realzied the whole crap they try to feed you. You can look on craigs list in nh right now and theres dozens of people warning you of these jerks. If it smells like a rat, like it is in this case..then its a RAT! It is unfortunate this guy does sleep at night..and comfortably!! Knowing everyday he is just brainwashing innocent people just trying to make some money to get by. Assholes, pureeeeeee assholes!!

First off, if this individual had actually taken the time to look into our program they would have had a completely different opinion. Nothing productive ever comes out of assuming, in any way. This independent office has been in business for seventeen years! You don't stay in business for that many years by scamming people! Just to give you a little information on how our company runs. Every office is INDIVIDUALLY owned and operated. So why does a Kirby office have to get a bad name because of someone else? Kirby offers an excellent oppurtunity for people. Our program is proven. Go check out some statistics. Most of the wealthiest people are in sales, in one form or another. Personally, I have been in Kirby for over three years, have definately had some of the best times of my life here. I have made more money with this company then any other that I have worked for. My first time actually leaving the country was with Kirby and the whole office. There is nothing like a going on vacation, and have it 100% paid for by the distributor!! So Eric, you asked this one question? How do we sleep at night... Well there it is! I sleep very well and wake up completely refreshed in the morning. And there is definately not 100's of posts about this INDEPENDENTLY owned office. And exactly like Eric put it, dont be stupid, do your research. Don't listen to someone who has never even worked for this company, someone who turned his nose up due to his ignorance.
