Complaint Review: [email protected] / [email protected] / Kristen Davis / Kristin Davis / Etc - Oxford (she May Say She's From Charlotte Or Greensboro As We North Carolina

This girl is an internet scammer preying primarily on iphone buyers. She posts almost every day in multiple cities on craigslist - things to watch out for in her posts: SIM UNLOCKED, will send/ship within the us, and her prices are usually extremely low for iphones ($125-$225). For payment, she will say that she takes wire (not bank wire but MoneyGram) or cc and you can pay half up front and half within 4 hours of "receiving" the phones. She claims to be able to supply 60 to 100 iphones per week

I paid her for one phone via MoneyGram for $225, she said she would ship the next morning and I did not hear from her for 3 full days. I sent her several emails which she didn't respond to, and when I tried calling her cell it seemed to be out of service. So I started researching her and found her myspace -- http://www.myspace.com/448908307 -- and if I had thought to look her up on myspace beforehand, I never would've bought from her because judging from the userpic she has up, it's obvious that money scamming isn't the only illegal thing she's involved in (cough cough HOOKER!)

After 3 days of not hearing from her, she finally sent me this email:

So she very shamelessly and very stupidly admitted to the crime. She is however not from Virginia as I did a reverse cell phone search and found that the number was in her name (Kristen Davis, serviced by Alltel, and in Granville County North Carolina - Oxford, NC)

She also must not have known that I'm aware that when you pick up a MoneyGram payment, you not only need the reference number but you have to show your ID too.

I've filed both a police report and an FBI internet scam complaint against her and I urge anyone else who has been contacted by her to do the same.

She does not have iphones AT ALL. Her scheme is to lure people in by advertising at such low prices, and of course people are tempted, but any smart buyer of iphones knows that you cannot get a new authentic iphone for anywhere near that cheap.

I believe she is actually located in Oxford, NC because that's what it says on her myspace and on the reverse cell # search.

So PLEASE BEWARE and please report her immediately if she tries to contact you. I don't even care about the $225 I lost. It just kills me to think about how many other people she's scammed possibly out of larger amounts of money than what I lost, and how many more people she'll scam if she isn't caught. Justice needs to be done.
