Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings, hadd.com started as a result of so many builders refusing to do the job right and refusing to honor the warranty with proper repair work. When builders take shortcuts that cause homes to be defective, then don't honor the warranty, they should not be surprised when people are forced to take legal action. Unfortunately, the legal system and state laws let down the homeowner more often than not. Builders know this, and therefore have a "so sue me" attitude, but then complain to the states legislatures about all the lawsuits. In fact, very few home buyers sue their builders, and those that do normally have a good reason since it IS so difficult and expensive to go that route. That's assuming the buyer did not sign an arbitration clause that prohibits suing at all.
