I bought a 2007 Crossroads Zinger 27 foot travel trailer from Lazy Days in March. Took the grandchildren to Lion Country Safari near West Palm Beach in August. On Highway 441 on the way home, we encountered a really rough stretch of road. The tiedown holding the two rockers pulled out of the floor before we could slow down, bouncing one of the rockers into the side rear window, breaking the glass, and bending the blinds on that 11x36 inch window.

We dropped the trailer at Lazy Days on August 23 to have the glass and blind replaced. Lazy Days billed Allstate Insurance company almost 650 dollars, which they paid. Eightysix days later, I pulled rig home, without the window or blind.

I contacted a local glass company, and they replaced the glass in the trailer for less than half what Lazy Days wanted. And they did it in one day, in my driveway.

At no time during these 86 days could I get an explanation of why a 11X36 inch piece of glass cost over 600 dollars, or why it couldn't be done by a local glass man at the repair shop.

Below is the last correspondence I recieved from Mr. Grady, Director of Service at Lazy Days, dated November 14th,

Mr. Lisk,

I will ensure that Matt addresses the blind for you. I will also look into the glass issue. Am I correct in understanding that Southeast Glass was able to replace your window in one day and for less than Lazyday's price?

Sincerely,

Bob Grady

Will no longer recommend, or patronize, Lazy Days. And I sincerely doubt that Don Wallace knows these things are happening at the place he worked hard at building.

Get the window blind your self

Why not purchase the window blind, put it up and send the bill to the company? It appears that they will never complete the repairs. Did your insurance pay? If so, they should have fully completed the repairs , and if they didn't , they are defrauding your insurance company. Matter of fact, buy the blinds at that store next door you mention and walk over and hand them the bill, ask for cash only or your taking them too court for taking so long to complete repairs. Call your Attorney General, file a complaint. BBB isn't worth the paper they use to print their banner on.

Recieved a phone call from a Mr. Jeff Severson on January 14th, the third service(?) guy I've dealt with since last August... not counting Ms.Dana Smith and Mr. Bob Grady. He informed me he had taken over from the incompetant Matt Urban, and that the blind was in, and he would see that a mobile technician would be scheduled to install it in my travel trailer, "in 2 or 3 weeks". As usual, I haven't heard from anyone at LazyDays since. I think I'd better call Allstate and see if the check I'm supposed to sign has been cashed. It is now 167 days since this fiasco started...

As of today, January 6,2008, it has been one hundred thirtyeight (138)days (August 23, 2008) since I took my RV to Lazy Days for repairs, and they still haven't been able to obtain a simple 11x36 inch window blind. Even with a Camping World store next to them ! Have never heard from Mr. Grady again and don't expect to. If anyone reading this ever needs service or repairs, and expects reasonable rates and decent workmanship completed in a reasonable amount of time, never ever go to Lazy Days. I'll update this again if and when the blind is found AND installed.

lazy days "Once you buy, we don't care"

It is now 103 days since I started attempts to have my rv repaired. Deana Smith has made it very plain Lazy Days doesn't want to be bothered with customers who have legitimate complaints, and will not (or cannot)answer any questions. Lazy Days sales department is pretty good, but their service is pretty much non-existant. I wonder how many more days it will take for them to get a 11x40 inch blind for the window? Especially since amping World has them, and they are next door. Judging by some of the other rip-off reports, I am not the only one with Lazy Days service problems.
