Leaders Merchant Services would like to apologize to this merchant for any misunderstandings she may have with our company. LEADERS practices a full disclosure policy in our contract so we are confused as to why this merchant feels we charged her fees to which she did not agree. This merchant has had an open account with LEADERS since May 27, 2008. This merchant was not charged any monthly fees for the month of May and since her account opened, she was charged a monthly fee of $15, an annual fee of $99 and a onetime non-bankcard application fee of $25.00. The annual fee and the non-bankcard application fee are clearly stated in her contract and are not charged on a monthly basis. LEADERS would also like to apologize for the service she received from our customer service representative. The fees the merchant is referring to are not in fine print, but are clearly written in the contract in 12 pt font. It is, of course, the merchant's responsibility to read what they are signing as with any contract. LEADERS would like this merchant to be happy with her account and to process with us so we invite her to contact our consumer complaint resolution specialist Cindy Schwerdtfeger @ 877-538-3377 Ext 137 to discuss her fees and her account further.

Jeannie W. and others may have a way out. I was told my account with the same company was just closed yesterday. This is after a short discussion with a lawyer, a couple of phone calls, a few faxes and a conversation with my bank. I should no longer be charged the $35.00 rental fee and the other $30.00 for the merchant account. Bottom line is the victim needs to know that (I was told in my case - Texas), they can't enforce the 30 month contract; Im NOT in CA. I didn't tell the company that I knew that. If they lied, I'll submit an update. If Jeanne W. is interested I can provide the steps that I took. Brownshoes
