I have to agree totally with what this guy said. I was approved in less than 24 hours with Leaders Merchant Services. Had a monthly volume of $12k and an average ticket price of $200. I had 2 or 3 transactions in 2 days totalling about $50 each which were all verified. Leaders Merchant Services had no intentions of depositing the funds into our bank account. The next day I grew suspicious of this crooks and changed my store back to my other processor. The next day I got up at 6 am to confirm my suspicions because thats when my bank has funds. Low and behold, no money in my bank account. I was correct. About mid afternoon I got a call from risk management stating they were not depositing any funds into my bank account because thats what they do to all new accounts. Full of BS! I called Leaders Merchant services and spoke to 3 other employees in the company, they said there was no reason why these funds should of been held.
I've searched around and since 2004 they have been doing this to alot of people. There's one complaint site thats filled with 50 pages of complaints on their business practices.
What this merchant said about chaning his bank account is correct. Even though they never deposited a single dime into my account, they breached their own agreement and voided the contract. They first tested my bank account to see whether or not they could rip me off. Month later they attempted to debit my bank account for 3 transactions, when they havent deposited a dime into my account. So I immediately contacted my bank and told them to block their merchant transaction file (thats a file they electronic ACH transfers go through). So they blocked that id file and guess what. Leaders used their other Merchant ID Number (the one they make deposits into your account) to debit my account again, but this time another amount. Again disputed.
Anytime you look at your bank statement and see the description of a deposit or withdraw, the back office of the bank sees what is called their merchant number as the first part of the electronic authorization code for debits or credits. A bank can block that number instantly. Problem is scumbags like Leaders can use other transaction codes such as the ones for deposits to go into your bank account again. It all depends on how many of these merchant codes they have for their company. If you close your bank account, they cant debit anything. Thats why they ask for the routing information and checking account number.
Leaders Merchant Services is 100% scumbag con artists! Right now I have a lawyer that is filing a law suit againt them for fraud.
