If they have your bank account imformation go to your bank and close the account and reopen it with new #s . I would also tell them F*ck off and die also then I would see about putting a block on thier # so they cannot call. Do not answer the phone if it says unknown on the caller ID let your answering machine pick up.

Your phone company will give you more imformation on call block and call reject. I would ask about call reject on unknown #s also.

Rule # 1! STAY OFF THE PHONE!!!

NEVER speak to any third party debt collector on the phone!!

STAY OFF THE PHONE!!

And, NEVER make a payment to any third party debt collector! When you made this payment, you legally "validated" the debt which changes everything.

Unless the debt is IRS or federal school loans or child support, they cannot garnish your SS checks. Retirement and disability income cannot be garnished for civil debt. And, it is unlikely they could file a lien on anything either unless you own real estate, and are not homesteaded.

These are empty threats made by crackheads in cubicles.

You really do want to stay off the phone, especially when you don't know your rights, or the law.

If you own property that you need to protect, you may want to file bankruptcy as this is your only way out now that you legally validated the debt.

If you don't own any real property, tell them to f*ck off and die.
