Where do I begin with the nightmare of Mr. John Stokes and his so-called company LPA a.k.a. LTA out of Austin, Texas.
On or around the second week of November is when it all started. I received a very disturbing phone call from Mr. John Stokes identifying himself as an investigator and that he was calling on behalf of my payday loan payment to Magnum.
After going round and round with Mr. Stokes, and him pressuring and harrassing me into "payment plans" so that I would NOT be served a warrant on my job and go to jail. I was in consistent contact with this man, and a Mr. Johnson of this same company whom was suppose to be Mr. Stokes' supervisor.
I would make payments and call them to let them know after they had requested the money be sent by a moneygram.
On December 3, 2008, Mr. Stokes called my place of employment over 20 times within a 10 minute period of time. Not only harrassing, threatening and belittling me, but my co-workers and my manager (who had to finally intervene with the phone calls). He was very rude, obnoxious, annoying, threatening, and a bully by calling me a liar over the phone after I was not able to make a payment, and not only one time was I called a liar but twice in the same sentence. He would request to speak to my manager, when he was asked to please hold he would then say "I don't want to talk to your manager, I want to talk to your pocketbook"!!!!!! How professional is he??? LOL.....well any of us know that have had the "pleasure" of dealing with someone of his nature, he is far from professional. Lets face it, how can you be professional when your nothing but a scam artist.
This I know is true, about Mr. Stokes being a scam artist...I contacted the payday loan place in which I received my loan through. To my surprise, they informed me that they have never heard of Mr. Stokes or his company and that due to non-payments by me had been turned my account over to a collection company on December 4, 2008. Remind you Mr. Stokes has been stealing my money by moneygram since the middle of NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!
Where do I go from here, well it certainly isn't to Walmart to the Money Center to mail any more payments off to Mr. Stokes. So Mr. Stokes, here is to you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!!!!!
Thank goodness Magnum Advance Payday Loan, Walmart, and the local authorities know about Mr. Stokes.
