Lenox Capital Inc They Saw An Opportunity And They Took Advantage deceptive company Salt Lake City Utah
I was contacted by the Lenox Capital Inc. company in early December and like any other typical 18 year old you hear the word credit card and your ears start to ring and the bells start going off. But like my parents always told me if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is, and this was deffinately one of those times!!
A male called me on the phone at 9:00am and woke me and told me that I qualified for a $2500 credit card however he would first need all of my information, so i gladly gave it to him. He told me then that in order to not recieve any fees at a later date that I could pay a one time fee of $221.95, so I agreed. He then had me hold and a lady came on the phone and told me to just repeat after her and that I was being recorded so that everything could be authorized, so I did!
It has been over a month now and I have not recieved a credit card however, when i recieved my bank statement in the mail i recieved a Pay By Phone Check and it showed a withdrawl of $221.95. My mother has spent the last 2 weeks trying to find out everything she could about this company and came up with nothing until we found this web site.
Although my bank has pressed charges against this company I have also and I have also filed with the Better Business Bureau and if you have had any contect with these people I suggest you do the same. Also in all of this I have found out that if you talk to the heads of your bank that there is a way for your bank to refund your money, so don't be embarased, get your money back and help to put an end to this company taking advantage of innosent people just looking to get out of their financial mess!!!!
