Lenox Capital is a ripoff that took the clothes off my child's back. Woodstock, Georgia
In June of 2002, I received a phone call from Lenox Capital offering me a credit card along with muliple discounts and rebate offers for a one-time fee of $221.95. The Co. required a check-by-phone; which I postdated for July 3,2002 ,and my signature on a form that would be sent in the mail to my home.
Upon not receiving their form, I tried to contact the company before the check was to be cashed. An answering service would report that all lines were busy please hold and then cut off the line, business hours between 9-5 est. please call back (I made these calls at 9 a.m., 11a.m., and 1p.m. est.), or I would get a voicemail box that would repeat itself until it cut off the line also.
I decided to cancel the check, but because I didn't have the exact information,the bank wouldn't guarentee that the transaction would be stopped. On July 3,2002 the transaction went through and I still haven't received any info. or forms from this Co.
I then decided to contact the BBB where I received the following info. 1.The Co. was formed in Maarch 2001. 2. There have been 45 complaints since April 2001 covering several different areas from customer service to contract issues. 44 of the complaints were closed as resolved and 1 was closed because the company displayed good faith to resolve the complaint.
I am extremely aggrevated by thier unprofessionalism. I work to hard for someone to just dip their hands into my pockets, and take away what I have earned for my daughter and I.
