Lexmark Just keeping everyone's BIG rebates Lexington Kentucky
I purchased a Lexmark c534n printer for $600 because it had a $350 rebate. The rebate form clearly has marked it can take up to 8 weeks to receive my check. I sent in the rebate on April 10, 2007 and luckily I have copies of everything. After 9 weeks on June 14, 2007 I checked their website for my rebate status and it came up as no rebate on record for me. When I called Lexmark I was informed that there has been a delay because of an overwhelming response to the offer. They claim to not have the staff to imput all the data. Funny though they had the staff to input the money I sent them.
I have filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania attorney general's office who received no reply from Lexmark and has forwarded the complaint to the Kentucky attorney generals office.
On July 9, 2007 I contacted Lexmark again and was told that NO DATA has been input yet because of the overwhelming response. Unbelievable, they have all these responses so they choose to not input any data so no one has gotten a rebate yet. I wonder how much money Lexmark is making in interest on the millions of dollars of other people's money they are holding on to.
My next step today is to file a compaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
