We should have known better, but the so-called "finance expert" was so convincing.
Oh, "they" are legit, they say. Oh, their poor rating with the BBB is not valid because getting an "A" rating costs costs a company $3,500 "they" said.
Oh, we will get our $499.62 'finders fee' back if they can't find us a lender, they say on their web site.
Oh yeah?
Guess what? Nope!
They are refusing to return our fee even though they say they can't find us a lender. When asked why not, the answer was because the fee contract said there was a 50-50 chance they couldn't find us a loan. Their web site says 100% guarantee they will refund the fee if they can't find a lender.
I have reported them to the State Consumer Protection Agency as I feel we were ripped off. Let's see if anything comes of that. I also wrote an email back to the so-called "finance expert" and copied and pasted the state law that forbids this kind of thing on their part.
All I can say is with this company, read the reviews and don't think they are just complainers who got upset when they said the company could not help them [because deep down, they lied on the application or contract form they gave to Liberty Unsecured]. Not so. Even though we told the truth and they could not refute it, they ripped us off anyway.
We should have known better. I hope the State Consumer Protection Agency goes after them, but they're probably used to this kind of thing. We'll see.
Poorer but wiser now.
